A scream?!

"WAKE UP!"
Camille keeps nudging at me and yelling for me to wake up. The hell does she want now?
"Damnit Camille, it's 1 in the morning!" I yell. "What are you doing waking me up?!"
But she doesn't even look at me. All she says is, "Something's up with Jackie!"
"Like what?" Andy asks.
"I heard her wake up, and I followed her around. Some people are spying on her. And us!"
What? The? Hell!
"And it's serious enough to wake us up in the middle of the night... why?" I ask.
"Because I think they could be trying to kill us!"
"WHAT?!" Andy and I scream in unison.
"That's what I thought. We have to find Jackie!"
But we don't get the chance to see Jackie.
Because just as Camille finishes talking, we hear a scream.
And it's coming from Jackie's room!
We follow the sound of her screams to her room, and see an older woman standing next to Jackie's bed. On the bed, Jackie lies motionless.
The other figure runs out, giving us space to tend to Jackie.
I grab hold of her hand, hoping she'll wake up. She opens her eyes slightly and points to something lying on the floor.
"Oh my God," Camille says, picking up the syringe.
"What is it?" I ask.
She looks at Jackie, who opens her mouth, like she's trying to say something. But all we can understand is, "Serum... death..."
Serum? Death?
Oh my God...
Whoever that figure was injected Jackie with death serum!
