Chapter 4~Celina Shadows

Celina opens her eyes rapidly. She turned aside and see Mahyka... Sleeping.

Celina: Gee! She snores loud! I was going to start sleeping...

Celina turns on her back and fixes the ceiling. It's been hours that the other girls are sleeping, but Celina is unable to get to sleep. «How they may be able to sleep after the dream they did?» Celina closes her eyes and waits for the sleep to come…

Celina wakes up in the dark. She tries to get up, but she’s not able. Her legs don’t want to get up from the ground. She can only wave her arms.

Celina: Great...

Celina waves her arms in all directions.

Celina: Hello!! Someone?

After a few seconds of waving, her arms begin to paralyze too. They get crushed on the floor with a big thud.

Celina: What? I can’t move my arms!

Celina growls a few seconds trying to move her body before feel something touch his back.

Celina: What’s that?

She feels her body "float" and the decor changes. It’s nor more dark, she finds herself in a laboratory. Celina looks around her. There are 9 tubes arranged horizontally everywhere in the room. After some time, Celina distinguishes bodies placed in the tubes. Celina tries to clear his arms and legs, but they don't move. They do not respond. Then Celina looks more carefully the tubes. She can finally see the bodies.

Sage
Sky
Sapphire
Milea
Swift
Mahyka
Melody
Luna
Jackie

Her friends are trapped in these tubes.

Celina: Sapphire! Luna! Girls! Can you hear me?

When she screams their names, a white light glows at the bottom of the tubes. A motor noise starts and break the eardrums of Celina so they are strong. After a few seconds, flashes appear in tubes, electrocuting the girls. Celina hear them shout, and cry for long seconds... Or minutes? Hours? She doesn’t know, that time seems so long. It intends to torture of her friends, she mourns it also, she cries... Her friends are getting killed, and it also suffers. Until she opens her eyes...

Celina opens her eyes with a start. She breathes noisily and tears flow down her cheeks. «Are they still alive?» She sits down on his mattress and looks at the living room. The girls are sleeping, and she can hear Mahyka snoring...

Sage: Celina? Are you alive?
Celina: of course I'm alive! Why... Sage?
Celina looks wise and note that her eyes shine... Of tears. Celina: Are you OK?
Sage: Not really...
Celina comes to Sage, being careful to not crush on the hand of Melody, who sleeps next to her.
Celina: What is it?
Sage: I made another nightmare...
Celina *gulp*: W-What nightmare?
Sage: I was drowning... That dream seemed so real... I felt frozen water whip my arms, I felt my heart beat at any speed and even if I was swimming my life, I could not go back to the surface... I saw myself dying...

Celina looks good with big eyes. Wise eyes fill with tears, and Sage wipe them with his hands.

Sage: Sorry... It must sound you really silly.
Celina: No I don't find it silly... I also have done a nightmare...
Sage: Were you drowning?
Celina: No...
Sage: Ow...

Sage seems disappointed. «Maybe it would have been more comfortable if someone else had the same dream that her...»

Sage: What is your worst nightmareCelina?
Celina: I... I'd hate to die drowned. Your nightmare is my worst nightmare... And yours?
Sage: See my friends dying in front of my eyes... But I can't do anything, because I’m paralyzed...
Celina: Oh...

Celina turns and look the girls sleep.

Celina: I'll go back to bed...
Sage: O-Okay...

Celina returns to her place and closes her eyes. After a few minutes, she hears two other girls stand.

Jackie: Milea! Are you… okay?
Milea: What was this syringe... What was... I've seen her! She implemented a syringe in my neck and I died a little time after!
Jackie: ...

Celina closes her eyes and tries to go back to sleep, but she cannot. The discussion of Jackie and Milea disturbs her too much. After 30 minutes, Sage, Jackie and Milea are beginning to talk of their dreams... Or nightmares. And then, after some time, the girls wake up. Only Celina is lying in her mattress, to think. The girls are now in the kitchen.

Sky: You come, Celina?
Celina: No, I'm ok…

Celina turns dashboard and views the corridor that leads to the rooms of the house. Before that she distracts her eyes, she sees the silhouette of a person. The person holds a knife. Celina can see a broad smile on his face.

Silhouette: Shh... Go to sleep...

Celina panics and rises quickly. She runs in the kitchen.

Swift: What’s going on?
Celina: I... I think I'll stay with you finally...

Celina looks one last time the living room before she starts to talk to the other girls.
