The Kiss
Me, Beth, and Howard all walked in the school all the girl looked nervous. "What's going on?" Beth asked. I shrugged and we walked over tour lockers. Heidi's show came on and we all stopped what we were doing and watched. "Hey Norisville! Spring is in the air and romance is too. Tonight is the night of prom and the guys ask the girls." Heidi said. Her show went off and I looked at Beth. "What?" She asked. "Excuse us Beth, but me and Cunningham have to talk." Howard said tugging at my arm. "Wh-""Okay Howie." Beth said. Howard pulled me into the bathroom and glared at me. "What?" I asked. "Are you going to ask Beth to the prom?" He asked. "You think I should?" I asked. Howard nodded his head. "Uh, duh!" He said. "And you should ask her before someone else does."
"Okay, okay!" I said. We walked out to find Beth, but saw Julian already talking to her. "So... Ms. Beth, would you like to go to the prom with me?" He asked. Please say no, please say no! "I'll think about Julian. So many other guys asked me to dance already." Beth said. "Like who?" Julian asked. "Bucky, Bash, and a couple of others."
"Oh, ok. I understand that a beautiful girl like you with a spirit of joy would attract many gentlemen." Julian said handing her a rose. "Thank you Julian." She said taking the rose. "See, I told you so!" Howard said. He pushed me over to Beth and elbowed me. "Beth, Cunningham has something to ask you." Howard said. "Yeah... um, I know that a lot of guys asked you already, but I was wondering if you would like-"
"I would love to go to the prom with you Randy." She said. She kissed me on the cheek and walked to her class. "Way to go Cunningham." Howard said patting me on the back. I stood there, basically paralyzed from that kiss.
