Ocean Blue

15 year old Marlinia Flotsam was born on the distant island of Jersey (if your thinking New Jersey i'll end you). She's always lived with her older brother, a surfer who often leaves her alone whilst he's out winning whatever he could get his hands on. On the night of her 15th birthday something enchanting happened, whilst on a moonlight walk she came across a boy, half fish half boy. A merboy. The next day she wakes up with no memory of the night before to find if she's exposed to a certain amount of water her legs will become a tail. Struggling to keep her secret and resisting the want to swim away she must avoid water in an island surrounded by it.

Hugo pushed Leo into the sand.
"She's a..........she's a..............she's gone!" He yelled. Leo stood and look over where Marley once was his eyes widening. He looked out to sea his heart sinking.
"She afraid........" A voice with a accent that was unknown said behind Leo. He turned to see that perched on a rock was a boy with almost shoulder long black hair and stunning blue eyes. His legs were a silver tail. Hugo gasped and stepped back. Leo approached the boy.
"She's scared about what will happen. She transformed in a public place after all. Plus that dodgy blowfish," he said.
"Your the merboy I take it!" He hissed. The merboy frowned.
"I'll help you find her," he said.
"What's in it for you!" Hugo asked finally getting into the situation.
"I get to see her," He said staring off into the distance. Leo saw himself in the merboy.
"I don't trust him," Hugo whispered.
"Well we need all the help we can get!" Leo said. And so as Marley disappeared into the vast ocean, the boys determined to find her set off. (Net Novel in the series: Ocean bound)
