Slang and Slurs

As a rule, no one is allowed to call someone by the following names, no matter what their gender or sexual orientation is. This list is only for educational purposes; meaning, I am educating you on what not to call someone.

Butch : a reclaimed slur; used to describe a masculine lesbian woman
Dyke : used to describe a lesbian woman
Fag : short for faggot; used to describe a gay man
Faggot : used to describe a gay man
He-She : used to describe a transsexual person; used to describe an intersex person
Lesbo : a reclaimed slur; used to describe a lesbian woman
Pansy : a reclaimed slur; used to describe a feminine gay man
Queer : a reclaimed slur; used to descibe anyone within the community
Tranny : used to describe a transgender person
Transy : used to describe a transgender person

Reclaimed slurs are words which are still sometimes used within the community. Some people are fine with using these slurs, while others are not. It is safe to assume not everyone you interact with is fine with you using these slurs. On another note, some words are only to be used for a certain group of people; for example, a gay man might be allowed to call himself a faggot, but a straight man may not.

There is a difference between Asexual and Aromantic. Asexual means that they do have a romantic bond but don't wish to have intercoursw. Aromantic means no romantic feelings. But Aromantics can still be interested in intercourse, just not romance.
