Do you believe in love at first sight? Leat does. It happened to her. She also believes in soul mates. The children she cared for always told her about the Sonic Underground, but she usually didn't get to see them. She'd imagine them, yes, but the pictures in her mind of Sonia and Sonic were far from accurate. However, her picture of Manic was almost exact. Just imagining him, she didn't feel anything except curiosity for his personality and life. When she saw him for the first time, she instantly became one smitten kitten XD. Not that she showed I much at first.
(Anyways, the reason she believes in everyone having their one soul mate is because of how she seemed to already know exactly how Manic appeared.)

(For the record: I don't believe in love at first sight. What happened to Leat was ATTRACTION at first sight, but not love. However, she was s obsessed with the idea that it was love that she kept acting on it ad it eventually became love.)
