Some Forevers

Remember the times when we were kids
We thought that the fun would never end
But now we know the ugly truth
There's no such thing as eternal youth

While some forevers tend to Last
Others tend to break like glass
While some forevers May be long
Others seem to go so wrong

Remember the day when we would say
Our friendship will last forever
Remember the day when you broke my heart
And turned forever into never

Now here I stand in the shadows of dusk
Longing for the day I learn to trust
What once was a diamond in the rough
Is now just a mere speck of dust

While some forevers, so long they last
Others are lost far in the past
While some forevers don't last very long
The memories of ours will never grow old...
