Chapter Six

Flamingwhisper yowled in disgust, Volestar had confined him and the Star organization to camp. Burnpaw laughed at his father, mocking his gloom. Mudpaw giggled at Burnpaw, which didn't help.
Rainpaw had apologized to him countless times, but Flamingwhisper merely looked away. Hollowfur had tried to comfort him, but he would fling her away with growl. Snowfeather had tried to give him poppy seeds to make him sleep on it, but he spat them out into the grass. The rest of the night cats were weary of Flamingwhisper, and didn't bother him.
Shifting into sleep, Flamingwhisper felt a pelt touch his. Looking side-ways he saw a familiar cat, someone who filled his eyes with tears. Sunsoul. Her warm, sweet sent filling his nostrils. Her golden fur warm, her green eyes sad. "Sunsoul..." Flamingwhisper's meow was distant. "Flamingwhisper be careful, the Tiger is ready" Sunsoul's meow was too, distant.
"Sunsoul I'm sorry" Flamingwhisper felt a rush of memories fly through him. "Don't be, Good luck" tears stained Sunsoul's face, "be safe". "Sunsoul wait!" Flamingwhisper cried between tears, "I miss you, I realize what I've done". "I'm a dumb furball to ever fall for Hollowfur's stupid trick", Sunsoul's image faded. "Don't be sorry" Sunsoul meowed, and was gone.
