Goldpaw gets her warrior name
"I don't know why Shadowclan attacked." Tigerclaw said, when the warriors followed him to Highrock. "but we have to be prepared if something unexpected happens.""I agree with Tigerclaw." Bluestar said, nodding. "we need more warriors, that's why I want to make a apprentice a warrior now."
"Even though she looked quite soft when we first met her." Tigerclaw said, glaring at Goldpaw in a nice way. "she turned out to be a great cat."
A pang of excitement went through Goldpaw as she waited excitedly.
"Goldpaw, come up front." Bluestar said, smiling.
Both shocked and appalled, Goldpaw went up to highrock to see Bluestar.
"I saw what you did in the battle, quite impressive." Tigerclaw said.
"Thanks, Tigerclaw." Goldpaw said, smiling.
"I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn." Bluestar said. "Goldpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
"I do" Goldpaw replied.
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name." Bluestar announced. "Goldpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Goldfur. StarClan honors your strength and spirit and we welcome you as a full warrior of Thunderclan."
The cats cheered for Goldfur, some louder then others, others not all.
Goldfur went down and touched noses with Willowpelt.
"Thank you Willowpelt." Goldfur said, "For not giving up on me."
"Thank you for being a great apprentice." Willowpelt replied.
Goldfur went to Longtail.
"And thank you, Longtail." Goldfur said. "for sticking up for me, I could of done it by myself, but when I saw you were doing it, I couldn't get involved."
"Anything for you, Goldfur." Longtail said. "you are the key to my happiness."
"You are the key to my heart." Goldfur said, smiling dreamily.
After the ceremony has ended, Goldfur and Longtail sat in the Warrior's den and shared tongues. After they did that they watched the moon rise. After taking a long look at each other, Longtail licked Goldfur's forehead.
"What does that mean?" Goldfur asked, happily.
"It means I love you." Longtail replied, smiling.
"I love you too!" Goldfur said. "this may seem a little too much, but will you be my mate?"
"I was waiting for this moment." Longtail said. "Of course!"
"Ahem!" A familiar voice said.
They turned around to see Fireheart and Graystripe sitting down watching them.
"They confessed!" Graystripe said, full of joy. "Yay!"
"My sister has a mate." Fireheart said. "Big step! Congrats, both of you!"
Longtail and Goldfur smiled at each other then the warriors padded back in the warrior den.
