The Last Paladan

Tides of War

Sesa stood on the deck of the ship, watching the hyperspace fly by.
Kara walked up to him, escorted by Republic troops.
"Kara?? What the--"
"I told you a million times, Sesa. When you go to war, I'll be by your side." She says, standing next to him and looking into his eyes. "Besides, someone has to see you kick some sith ass!"

He looks at her, then sighs. "You're so stubborn."
She giggles and pokes his mask.
"I know. But I learned it from you." She says, smiling at him.
He chuckles as Dularan walks up to him.
"General, we're coming out of hyperspace and are currently working on the battery canons."
"Good. Get my personal fighter ready and prepare the--"

As they came from hyperspace, they were met with an entire Sith naval fleet.

"What the fück?!"
"Holy shit!!"
"My god!"
"We're all gonna die!!"
"Steel yourselves! We've seen worse!!" Sesa yells, feeling the enemy begin to bombard his ship. He had spoken wisely and truthfully, because once only he and his ship were in tact, though barely.

"Prepare the ion beam and fire at the center of the ships! Send the fighters to knock out those damned engines!"
"Sir, the enemy are deploying fighters!" An officer states, rather panicked.

Sesa turns and walks out if the bridge, toward the hangar bay as he watched the ship around him begin to succumb to the enemy fire.
"Damn Shik'to! Damn him to hell!" He states, jumping into his fighter and hearing the engines roar to life as he flies into the battlefield, a battalion of fighters behind him.

"Blue squad leader, checking in."
"Red squad leader, checking in."
"Purple squad leader, checking in."
"Black squad leader, checking in. All units, go get some!"

"Alright, everyone." Sesa says, R2 beeping nervously in the background. "Our target is the Capitol ship. Take it out and these bastards will flee like the cowards they are!"
"Roger!"
"Yes, sir!"
"Hooah!!"
"General, are you sure this is a smart idea?"
"Did I ask for mouth, Black leader?" Sesa says, firing his canons into a ship.
"No sir, but it just seems reckless to--"
"Concentrate on the battle, Black!"

Black shut up, and the Republican troops went to battle with their enemy, losing some here and there, but taking out many as they were the best pilots in the galaxy.

Shik'to laughed at his enemies, knowing they'd never win. Besides, he has a secrete weapon.
"Release the Rancors!"

The hangar bays opened on the Sith ships, and Rancors inside giant landing pods shot from the ships toward the medium Destroyer class Republic ship.
And they numbered in the thousands...

"Purple squad, take out those Rancors!"
"You heard him, get the beasts!"

Purple leader broke from formation, his squad following and firing at the pods, managing to get most, but not all.
The landing pods pierced the inside of the Jedi ship, opening it's hatches to let Sith troops on board and initiated a firefight between the two armies.

"Damn it..!" Sesa yells, narrowly dodging a torpedo, seeing it take out a member of Red.
"General, I-I can't shake them!" Red leader says, seeing the two enemy fighters on his tail.
"Eject, Red leader! Eject!" Sesa yells, then hears Red scream as his ship was blown to bits.
Black leader chimed in with, "Sir, we need to pull back! We're getting slaughtered out here!"

Sesa thought about it for a moment, then looked at the capital ship.
"Black, you're in charge now. Get them to safety."
"Sir, what're you saying? I can't leave you here!" Black says frantically, trying to convince his leader into retreat as more and more soldiers died on both sides.
"I wasn't asking, Joon!" Sesa says, hearing silence.
"Yes sir." Joon says gloomily, giving the order to back off to the ship.

As the soldiers retreated, Kara hopped into a small fighter, frantically rushing to her beloved.
"Sesa! Don't you dare!"
"You can't stop me, Kara! Stay on the damn ship!" Sesa says, barrel rolling out if the way and seeing his ship leave the system.
"No! I'd rather die with you than live without you!" She screams, blasting off next to him.

In that moment, time froze, and Sesa looked over to his lover, holding his hand on the glass of his fighter. Kara returned the gesture, tracing his figure with her fingers on the glass.
"Sesa..."
"Kara..."

The two felt each other through the Force, sharing one final moment together.
"Let's go kick their asses." She says, speeding up and firing away at the enemy.
Sesa nods, then speeds up and torpedo's a bridge, making that ship shut down.

Shik'to smirked.
Everything was going just the way he wanted them to.

Kara slowed down and laughed.
"What's the matter, Sithy withy?~ Afraid of lil' ol' me?~"
Shik'to laughed darkly, firing from under Kara and blowing her ship to bits, making Sesa's heart and stomach drop.
"No, I was just playing a game of tag!" The Sith warlord says, laughing at his old friends pain.

Sesa couldn't breath.
He couldn't move.

The love of his life was gone now...
All thanks to him...

"I told you, my old friend." The Sith says, initiating a dog fight between the two, "You ever try to find me, I'll kill everyone you love, starting with that whore, Kara!"
Sesa felt the anger and resentment build up inside, screaming as he fired at his nemesis.
Shik'to laughed and laughed at him, making him angrier by the moment.

In the end, Shik'to won the dogfight, sending his old friend towards the planet's surface in a ball of fire.
"Finally, the last Paladin is no more." Shik'to says, flying back to his ship to go after his enemy's ship.



It looks as if the Empire would finally prevail against the Republican Dogs...
