The Dead Girl
The next day Lucy was found dead with a gun pointed at her head. It was suicide clear as day. Lucy was dead and there were only four popular girls. Four living girls. No one knew why she did it. They all say that she had so much to live for. Maybe she did. But she's dead now. As the foursome flounced into school a heavy cloud hung over them. One of their own was dead. The girls weren't as untouchable as they had once thought. They had each received a text that night. A text from Lucy. They hadn't checked their phones until it was too late. The message read:Dear Girl I Once Knew,
Bye. You were my friend. I loved you. Sorry I'm leaving the party so early. I just don't feel like doing this anymore. Life sucks. It really does. I have my reasons for choosing this way. You guys should know. Just ask my mom, ask my doctor, ask my other friends, ask my teachers, ask yourselves. I don't wish to cause you any sadness. I just want you to understand me. I love you girls. Lots of ❤️
Thanks,
Lucy, soon to be dead girl
The girls had stared at the note until it finally hit them. Lucy was dead and they didn't know why. Why would such a perfect girl kill herself? As they climbed the stairs to the school building they tried to puzzle it out.
" Well." Diamond said. " Lucy killed herself" Sofia burst into tears for the 100th time that day.
" Lucy!" She moaned " Why did she have to die?" Charlotte stared at the ground then muttered
" I've been asking myself the same thing. What drove her to do it?" Taylor glared at the two of them.
" Obviously she was selfish." Taylor said haughtily. " She's always has wanted attention." Sofia looked horrified.
" Taylor!" Charlotte gave Taylor and Sofia a look as Diamond spoke up.
" Both of you stop." Both girls shut up. " I think it's clear what we need to do here." The girls looked confused. Diamond continued. " It's obvious she wants us to know the reason she did it. We need to figure it out. For our friend." The other girls looked nervous. Than little Sofia raised her voice.
" Di is right. For her we must know."
" Yes." Diamond said with a smile. " We start today. After school we are going to talk to her parents." The girls strode into their home room classes with a new purpose. I don't think that this is going to end well. At least, not for them.
