Lurking Nightmares

Proloogue - The Incident

Around May 17th, 2001

Today was the first opening of Ellie's Diner and Arcade. Many children were excited and the parents fely a bit uncomfortable about this place since rumors were heard how Ellie's Diner and Arcade had animatronics at least about six of them and how they came to life at night which was never true.. There's Ellie, Rosy, and Athena the ones on the stage. Scourge in the horror room, Eren the waiter in the dining room, and Peyton in kid's paradise.
This place was always full of joy until it all changed so quickly. A worker who walked off for a bit to fix some machine wiring of an unstable room compartment, decides to leave it for a bit and take a break but of course he leaves the door wide open. "Hey mom!" I called out as i ran up to her from the horror room with my friend beside me, "Yes Alice, is there something wrong?" She asked concerned. Now Alice, Alice was my name a name I thought I'd never forget and like my friend Tiana she thought the same thing. Tiana always wore shorts and a blue tank top, her skin was like black chocolate, her eyes brown, and hair dirty blonde. I wore a black skirt, a grey t-shirt that said "Fire Heart", my skin a pale white, with blue eyes, and brunette hair."No mom I'm fine, just came to say thanks for taking us here it's really fun!" I smiled hugging her. My mom hugged back "Your welcome, now go have fun with the rest of your friends alright?" I nodded as Tiana and I ran off to find the others when we noticed Alex and them near an open door.
I thought *What in the world are they doing?* than we ran off to found out. Once we got there we also saw Merida, Damien, and Leo walking into the compartment as well."Uh guys what are you doing?" I asked confused. Alex was the first to answer but before he spoke i noticed he was wearing a purple bow tie, a plad sweater, and blue jeans that did not go well with his red hair, blue eyes, and his peachy skin just doesn't match him. "Well we saw this door opened and wanted to take a look" Alex answered "Yeah it's really fascinating" said  Merida messing with one of the doohickies on the machine. Now Merida she wore a polka dot dress, blue sandals, while her hair was dyed blue, tanned skin, and eyes of hazel. Damien wore a leather jacket with flames on it, black leather pants, a red t-shirt underneath the jacket with a skull, olive skin, black hair, and green eyes. While Leo wore a only a yellow baggy shorts, who has white hair, freckles on his face, warm rosy skin, and brown eyes.
"Guys i don't think we should be in here" I advised walking in to stop Merida from touching anything. Tiana nodded "Yeah we're all in high school and I don't think we should mess around with this stuff, it seems a bit snoopy." Alex rolled his eyes "Oh chill out what's the worse that would happen?" He grinned leaning on a lever when it pushed down from him starting up the machine and slamming the door on us. "Alex! What did you do!?" I shouted at him. Alex look terrified "I-I don't know I was just leaning on this and-" he was cut off short when he began coughing up a storm of blood and passing out. We were horrified "Alex, are you okay? Alex!" Leo cried out when he suddenly began coughing up blood too and passed out beside Alex along with Merida too. "Oh no" Tiana and I tried banging on the door calling for someone to save us, but no one could hear us over the ruckus of the machine setting off pousonous gas which than soon Tiana passed out from. I tried to wake het but no heart beat was found from any of my friends I covered my mouth trying not to inhale the deadly fumes and banged hard on the door my lungs burned. I began coughing and fell to my side gasping for air but hurt everytime I tried, though things soon got blurry and everything went dark.

It was dark really dark I could hear voices a man maybe? Probably the manager but who was he speaking too? Or question is how am I alive? "We can't let anybody know about this" I heard the manager say than i heard a women speak "But sir what about thier parents? They are worried sick and want to see their children" the woman responded assuming is a worker here. The manager only got angry "We can't let them know at all about this incident, it's best if they remain like this and the bodies will never be found besides what harm will come to them? Nothimg cause now they are living attractions that will stay secret til this blows over" he commanded "But sir-" the woman would try to say but was cut off "But nothing, do as I say and take these animatronics back into their places" he demanded hearing his footsteps as he left the room.
"Yes sir" the woman spoke irritated  as she began of what feels like she's dragging me across the floor and up some stairs I think *Am I on the stage?* I hear her leave and opens my eyes. Looking myself over I notice I've become Ellie the cat now, but how? Why? I was trying to figure that out but I went still when I saw her walk back onto the stage now bringing Rosy the wolf on my left side and Athena the rabbit to my left. * Were me and my friends somehow stuffed in these suits? * thinking as I watched the woman drag Scourge the fox towards the horror room than back to Peyton the dog who.was brought back to Kid's Paradise and Eren the hyena in the dining room. A disturbed feeling crawled along my back realizing what happened bit before I could say anything I had to go still when that woman came my way feeling her sorrowful gaze watching me.
"I know your all probably in pain but this new body will substain you until you wither, I'm sorry but we can't let nobody know how this happened to you or why we made you this way" she spoke reasonably but I felt just a bit of anger "Your memories, some memories are gone. When you wake up you won't remember your real names or half of your childhood. I'm sorry, truly I am." I heard her footsteps fade and the sounds of a doir slamming. I finally opened my eyes anger ranging through them "So we died and the solution was stuff me and my friends in suits, who would do that?" I looked at Rosy and Athena "Are you guys awake? Can you hear me?" I shake Rosy until her eyes open and smacks my hand "Okay, okay stop! I'm awake geez...uh..." Rosy looked herself over "What happened?" She asked shocked. I was gonna answer when Athena awoke freaking out "Noo, this can't be happening! It can't be!" Scourge, Peyton, and Eren soon walked in freaking out to full of concern and worry asking me what happened or why are we this way?

When I couldn't take it anymore I let out an unexpected shriek they all went silent immediately. "Huh, thank you okay guys I know your terrified but apparently the reason we're this way is somehow we died in that room when those toxic fumes tore up our lungs. I overheard the manager and his worker say they kept us like this so nobody finds out how we died" I crossed my arms irritated. My friends faces turned to anger "What? You mean the managet made us like this just so this place wouldn't close down! That's just awful" Scourge growled. Everyone agreed this was not okay and worst we couldn't remember our names or half of our memories. "Looks like we're stuck like this, but look on the bright side we can be here every night to roam free and bring joy to children in the day. It's not so bad." I said convincing them they all nodded and smiled. "Your right Ellie I guess we can live with this, it's quite cool actually" Athena said smiling. We all nodded and from that day we became the new animatronics but we never realized that being like this can lead to consequences.
