Living With Scoliosis

Living With Scoliosis

A lot of people don't know this condition exists. But it does. A lot of people suffer from this. And I am one of them. This is my story of what it's like to live with Scoliosis.

Just a normal day, right? But I woke up, and it didn't feel like it. My head hurt like no tomorrow. I was dizzy walking down the stairs. My mum saw me, and thought I was too dizzy to go to school, so she kept me off.
We went to the doctor's to see my GP, Dr. Green. I thought it was nothing serious, but then I was referred to hospital.
Gutted.

In the hospital I stayed on the children's ward, Ward 21. There were lots of paintings on the wall to distract the little children from the pain.
The nurses came to visit me, and ran some tests on me. They asked me to walk, to bend down, all that.
But when I bent down, they noticed something wrong with my shoulderblade. They said it was nothing serious, but they still booked an appointment for me on 3rd of January 2013. But apart from that, I got told to stay overnight in hospital.

The nurses gave me this yellow medicine thingy to take, which stopped the pain. I was out by midday the next day, but still on that medicine. 3 words. Dis. Gust. Ing. But it did help with my forehead. So all that was left to do was continue through the days up until our next appointment. So I did.
And it was a long wait.

My friend has a problem with her foot, it something that old people get. She'll have to get surgery if she runs too much.

Evenstar: Be strong! When the surgery is over, you will live like any normal kid.
Me: Also, you are actually lucky to just have Scoliosis. You could have had an disease with no known cure, like the "Dancing Sickness".

I already had the surgery, like, nearly a year ago XD
