Bear Attack
Sara was eating lunch and nearly choked on her sandwich when Lucas came sprinting out of the woods, “BEAR! BEAR IN THE FOREST!” He shrieked, “Of course there’s a bear, they live in the forest” someone said, “Please stay seated and don’t panic,” said Mrs. Hepler. She told them to stay back, after a few seconds, nothing came. Laughter rose from the crowd when the trees seemed to shake, a huge black bear rose from the trees. Everyone panicked, in all the commotion, Sara ran to the back of the cabin, she had to do it, the bear grabbed Jenny. The bear gave a loud roar, it started towards Micheal when a lion made of fire jumped out from the back of the cabin. Sara growled in a low voice, “Stop, the heir of the forest commands you.”. Sara watched the bear. It dropped Jenny who scrambled to get back to her classmates. Somehow, she could understand it. “No one controls me, especially not a cat!” the bear snarled. “If you insist,” said Sara, she roared a blast of flame that curled up the bear’s leg, the bear roared in agony and ran back into the forest. The lion jumped to the back of the cabin and when they got there, it had vanished without a trace. When Amy got back to the cabin, Sara was reading her Ancient Legends book. “Sara, WHERE were you, I was so worried!” said Amy. “It couldn’t be him,” Sara muttered. “ What exactly happened?” asked Amy. Sara showed her the page in her book. “So, it was one of them?” Amy asked. Sara nodded, “Meet me at the back of the cabin tomorrow at dawn.” said Sara. “I have something to show you.” she said. Tonight, Sara couldn’t sleep. Was this the right thing to do? Sara thought. When the first bird started chirping, Sara woke up. Amy was snoring, “wake up!” Sara whispered. The two girls went to the back of the cabin, “So, what was that thing you wanted to show me?” yawned Amy. “ You know that necklace I found,” said Sara “ It lets me do this.” Sara transformed. “What?!” Amy yelped, “It was you who saved us from the bear? Why didn’t you tell me?!”. Amy was interrupted by a loud whoosh above them. There was a flash of black in the distance. “What was that?” asked Sara, “I think it was a raven.” replied Amy. “Why then, did it look suspiciously like a vulture?” thought Sara.
