Zidern

Christmas intermission

Zidern was busy putting up lights with the turtles down below in the sewers wondering how his first mutant Christmas would go "so this year I'm spending Christmas as a cat...." Donnie walked over with some ornaments "don't be so down about this, being a cat gives you a lot of advantages" Zidern tilted his head "such as?" "Well you have amazing reflexes, you move silently better than we do" Raph was punching their shredder punching bag "and your not annoying like Mikey" mikey was in another room decorating "Hey! I heard that!" Zidern walked over a sleeping Neonnah "thanks.... I think..." He was unsure about raphs intentions
Later on at around noon Zidern was taking  a stroll through the back alleys needing some time alone since social activities became overwhelming at times. He turned a corner "I wonder what April and Casey are up to" he hadn't seen them in little over a month "maybe their at the ice ring" He kept to the Shadows avoiding any lights, he walked onto the street over the the doors,  as his hand reached out to open it it flung open and smacked into him "OW" he cried Casey walked out ",sorry!" He scrunched his face feeling his pain, Zidern cupped his hands over his face "where's April at?" He said in a pained voice "she's out getting... Um.... Stuff....?" Casey was too busy playing around to listen to what she told him she was going to do
Meanwhile back at the train car Neonnah was organizing things for when Zidern got back even though they'd spend the rest of Christmas eve back with the turtles "hmmm....." She looked at a small mirror at herself "ugh.... My furs matted...." She quickly cleaned herself up wrapping her scarf around her neck, she finished cleaning herself up and walked out hopping down from the small car closing the door behind her she paused "Mikey what do you want?" She knew he was hiding behind a trash can "aw come on how could you have seen me?" He walked out looking disappointed
"You smell like old pizza slices...." She sniffed the air and cringed a bit "can you please go clean yourself or something?" "Fine" he turned around but stopped "so" he made his usual innocent face "Mikey?" She knew he made that face whenever he was about to say something ridiculous or a bad joke but at times she could never tell "you and Zidern are awfully cute together" her face lit up like a Christmas tree "wh-what?" Mikey chuckled and ran off "you know what I mean" she actually didn't, she knew she and Zidern and her were closer than they were a few months ago but she never saw them together being cute, she saw it as more of a partnership, she shook her head shaking off thoughts and ran after him
Around 11:49 at night they were all in the sewerrs, Zidern was playing with a ball of yarn which Neonnah saw was adorable, she was holding a cup of hot chocolate since it was cold, Zidern had gotten used to having a thin fur coat but during the winter it had grown in a bit thicker but he had developed a little patch of fur on his chest that stuck out like a big cotten ball that Neonnah would just poke at times because it was soft, raph and Leo were training with splinter and Donnie was sitting at his table reading a book of Christmas carols, April and Casey were snuggled up together on the couch, and mikey was nowhere to be seen, Zidern got tangled up when his yarn ball unraveled and was rolling around in a ball "hey a little help here....?" Neonnah put her chocolate down and walked over, she giggled and picked him up" you keep getting tangled up everytime you play with yarn" Zidern looked up at her "I can't help it, instinct gets the best of me" he watched as she looked him over finding the one strand that was holding it all together "found it" she cut it with one of her claws and the yarn fell off of him "thank you" he hopped out of her arms
He looked up at her and she gave him a small Pat on the head "your just too adorable at times Zidern" he gave her a tight hug and blushed a bit as she did the same "thanks" "for what?" She asked "for not leaving me alone all this time or abandoning me" her ears flattened a bit "I could never abandon you"
Mikey was attached to a string on the ceiling, he was slowly sliding down like a spider holding mistletoe with a smug grin on his face "almost there.... Just a little bit closer...." The clock hit 12 midnight starting the new Christmas day, Zidern looked up "hey mistle.... T-toe....." His ears flattened against his head, Neonnah looked up and saw Mikey, she glared at him, meanwhile in mikeys mind "kiss kiss kiss!" He looked as if he was about to pass out not only from all the blood flowing to his head but the anxiety of waiting to see if they would, Neonnahs right hand cupped ziderns chin and made him look up at her, she was smiling with a light blush "hey don't be shy...." Ziderns face was bright red and it was noticeable "can't h-help it" she cupped her hands on his cheek and leaned in and gave him a small peck on the lips, Ziderns face was brighter than the lights hanging above them, he wrapped his arms around her
The string holding Mikey snapped and he fell/"WAAAH!" he landed on his head and everybody laughed except for Neonnah and Zidern who were still embracing each other affectionately, Ziderns thought this might've been the best Christmas ever instead of the worst
