A New Couple?

"What? Dead? That's crazy! Are you sure it's your mom?" Ryker said sounding very worried. Mel sat at the table with her head in her arms. "Ryker," Mel began "I have nobody left after I leave here, I don't know where I'll go." Ryker didn't know how to respond to what Mel had said. "Don't worry about it. That's three months from now, just know I'll be by your side every step of the way." When Ryker said that Mel sat up and looked at him. Ryker opened his arms for a hug and Mel took his invitation.

"Dude, I like her." Ryker said to James waiting for Mel at the lunch table. "Well it's pretty obvious." Ryker turned to look at James and said, "Shut up she's coming." "Hey guys." Mel said with a dull voice. "You okay Mel?" James asked. "Um yeah, I'm fine." Mel replied. Mel sat down an started to eat her salad. Chesney walked in the lunch room with Jordan and another boy that Mel didn't know. "Hey guys!" Jordan started, "This is Sparo. You know his girlfriend is Tamara." Mel looked at Jordan while stuffing her face. "Um, yeah I met her the other night."

Mel was at her locker getting books for her fifth class, math, when Ryker showed up at her locker. "Oh hey. Wasn't expecting to see you." Mel said. "Is that a good thing?" Ryker asked being flirty. "Oh, totally." Mel answered and Ryker smiled. "Um, I know we only met, like, a couple days ago but-" before he could finish, Paris walked up and wrapped her arm around Ryker's. "Are you ready?" Paris said to Ryker. "Um, yeah." said Ryker. Mel looked at Ryker and slammed her locker then walked to her class.

"Are you serious?" Ryker yelled to Paris. "What? I didn't do anything." Paris said as she messed with her hair. "There's the freaking room." Ryker said still yelling. "Calm down babe-" Ryker gave a hateful look and calmly said, "I'm not your babe and leave me alone! Got it?" Paris walked past Ryker and said "Whatever!" and hit his butt. Ryker jumped when the hand hit but what Ryker didn't know Mel had seen some of what had happened.
