Autumn's Wish

"I wish for... a perfect life." "Your wish is granted," the tree seemed to say, "a perfect life you will have." Wow. Autumn was speechless. A dog just because she caught a acorn. "Great job, Autumn!" Dusk cheered. The other fairies soon followed. "Three cheers for Autumn!" Dawn called out. "Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray!" the crowd said almost as simultaneously as the twins can. "I need to get back to Earth. Mom will wonder why I'm taking so long." Autumn said, going back to the portal. "Autumn, Autumn, two hours in Fairyland is the same as one minute on Earth." one fairy said, coming out of the group. "So I've been gone for only one minute on Earth?" Autumn asked. "Yeah." Autumn looked at him. "What's your name?" "Aiken Woods. There's a legend 'bout my father and my brother, nice fellows. Alas, nothing about me." the fairy answered. "Who are your father and brother?" Autumn asked. "Eh, many legends aren't there? My father is the one who lost the ax and got the fancy silver one, and my brother's the one who jumped over that candlestick. Lassie, you could be a legend someday. Every fellow in the world 'ould know your name! I wish I could be like that." Aiken said. Autumn blushed. Her? A legend? Ha! About as likely as  her being the first one to catch a second acorn. But there's something about that Aiken guy...
