A Conversation on Snape's Sliminess

"Has the fool fled?" Snape asked Voldy.
"He may have. Go question the house elves," However, Snape was not able to enter the mansion.
Voldy stomped around the dimly lit sidewalk and glared at the house. The sun was beginning to set. "Why didn't you tell me about SockMart earlier?"
When Snape hesitated, Nagini rose from Voldy's shoulders, her fangs glinting in the evening light. Her tongue flickered out at the greasy professor.
Voldemort shook his head. "Snape, Snape, Snape."
They did eventually break into Malfoy Manor. Voldemort knew the professor was hiding something but decided to question him later. Snape discovered Draco half-asleep on a couch and dragged him with to find the house elves. The lad claimed that Lucius must have left while he was asleep.
"Master Lucius took a few biscuits and exited the manor around 6 o'clock," an elf supervising the dish washing told them.
"Did anyone go with him?" Snape inquired.
The elf shrugged. "I'm afraid I'm a wee bit short to see," she apologized.
The two wizards turned to Draco, who had been absently eating cupcakes. He had blue frosting all over his hands as he reached for a fifth and appeared uninterested in what was going on.
"Have you been aware of another person staying here?" Snape questioned Draco as the boy started on another cupcake.
"Oh, yes," Draco nodded. He nodded a bit too vigorously and got frosting on his nose. "Wormtail has been around. He's been doing some errands. Father has been parading around in his new socks and ice skates."
Voldy slammed a hand on the counter, upsetting the tray of cupcakes. Fortunately only two landed on the floor. The house elves immediately set the others back up and cleaned up the others. "I knew that slimy man was responsible!"
"But aren't I more slimy?" Snape pointed out. "Lucius does shower most days. After all, he is quite proud of his hair."
"Saying 'I knew that relatively hygienic man was responsible' doesn't have the same ring to it," Voldy replied.
"Perhaps you could say 'I knew that somewhat slimy man was responsible'," said Snape.
"Would you like some cupcakes?" Draco asked. "I should go to bed but I don't want them to go stale."
