The dad
My earliest memory of you was always something to laugh about. We were going to the park, I remember begging to go so I could playing on the swings but you were so worried about all the ice that you just offered to take me just to watch me. There was a wall that sat just at the entrance of the park, it wasn’t too tall but it would be an understatement to call it small, I remember you moaning something about your heart that had me giggling but pouting seconds later when I realised you had sat on that infernal wall. It only took seconds for you to fall but in that time I watched as you fell not with horror but with delight; you had been teaching me nursery rhymes earlier that week and I couldn’t help but start to sing humpty duty sat on a wall humpty dumpty had a great fall; I remember for a fact you laughed.
Humpty Dumpty, Had a great fall
You were always smart daddy, which is the only reason I knew you would figure it out. I didn’t want to kill you but you see that is how people are caught; loose ends, and I for one don’t do loose ends. Of course I can’t just kill you this time that would seem suspicions so an accident is how you are destined to die. A poor old man walking along the cliff line: when suddenly he falls to his death. I find it funny in the end you will always be poor old humpty dumpty and nothing could ever change that.
All the poor doctors and all the policemen
The police came this morning to be honest I am getting sick of having to keep crying for people, but that the price to pay for freedom. It’s funny the doctor mentioned that you had some bruising but didn’t think much of it because of your age if only they had paid proper attention then they would of realised that they bruising was centered on the main pressure points. For two weeks your death was ruled as accidental but alas luck is not being kind to me this week, there was an anonymous tip delivered to the police saying that they need to re-open the case much to my displeasure.
Could not figure out who pushed humpty again
It took three months daddy that is how long it took to re-open your case and rule it a murder. Mother of course is distraught its beginning to bother me how close she is coming to finding out. I don’t think she would ever tell on me but I am reluctant to let her live, your wife may be joining you sooner than you think. The police are still badgering on about your death it’s getting on my nerves now, they called in the FBI I’m not sure if I should be worried what do you think daddy dearest.
