Spacing and Paragraphs
Good spacing in a story makes a story easier to read.Include a space when:
A new person is talking, (e.g)
"Are you sure we should go there?"
"Yes, it's the only choice."
Or
"Are you sure we should go there?"
"Yes, it's the only choice."
Don't do this! (E.g)
"I think we should go shopping." She said. "Yeah me too." "Where are we going?" "Eastfield." "It's really good"
This makes it hard to see who's talking, and makes the text look ugly!
-----
Include a space when:
The topic is changing, (e.g)
The blossom trees were in full bloom as I walked peacefully through the Sakura trail.
But I wasn't alone.
"Hello Alice!" I hear my senior call, he runs towards me.
Over the following months, my shoes start to wore out, it happened when I was walking to school- the soles broke off.
I hated schoolwork, I always grew bored with the books and had no friends, so I would always hang alone around the hallway.
Believe or not, this isn't actually necessary, but I would recommend it, it would make you look slightly more professional.

Tips for spacing:
-when a paragraph gets too long, try to end it off and put another space, nobody likes having to read a giant blob of text!
-if you want to make a scene look abrupt, try having a short and abrupt paragraph. (E.g)
The Minotaur was right behind the corner, if I stopped running - I'd die, and what if I kept running? My heart would explode, I wasn't a natural runner. I then saw a hedge, with a hole large enough for me, I dove in.
Then I turned around.
I saw an axe raised above my head, I knew it - I was going to die.
Spacing is very important in stories, it makes it easier to read and less ugly; it's also for your own sake, it'd be harder to locate parts of your stories you need to edit if your spacing was terrible.
