The Betrayed Dog
There was once a man named Jamie who had just graduated college and was trying to find love. And at 25, he didn’t have many friends, and rented a house out in Northern New Jersey. He was facing depression from being new in the area, not having a girlfriend and his mother had recently passed away. Everyday he would sit at home and work all day on his laptop trying to manage an at home wedding planning business. One day when he was off, he decided to get himself some company. He went to the local shelter to see if they had any pets that fit his criteria and needs. They had only one mid sized, friendly, in good health dog left. He was a collie and his name was Samson. Samson was everything Jamie had ever wanted. He was accepting, cuddly, and he always put a smile across Jamie’s face. Everyday they would go on walks, share peanut butter of a spoon and sometimes even go to the park to run around. But one day, Jamie met a girl named Natasha. She was pretty; with curly blonde hair, soft brown eyes, every single beauty quality a girl should have, she was nice, funny, and everything else a guy could possibly want. But, she was allergic to dogs.
At first, Natasha thought they could work around that. But eventually, the two wanted to move in. Natasha hated Samson. She would never pet, feed, or walk him when she was the only one home. Actually, she would lock him up in the downstairs bathroom. Soon after, Natasha found out she was pregnant, and she said that they needed to move somewhere bigger, so they could live comfortable with the baby. They had found the perfect condo in California, that didn’t accept dogs. That didn’t stop them...
Jamie dropped Samson off at the nearest "no kill" shelter. He never pet him good bye, nor did he even take his leash so he could remember him. He just threw them away like old t-shirt. Of course, a few months later the shelter’s funds were low and they had to transfer Samson to a kill shelter. Samson was kept for a few days, but eventually it was his time to go. Samson was put on the table, and he looked into the vet’s eyes.
“I’m so sorry. You’ll be in a better place soon.” she said. But Samson wasn’t mad at the vet. Samson was questioning why he had been betrayed and tossed the way he had. Hadn’t I been there for you, he thought.
May I just say that I didn't not write this story, I just changed the names and descriptions of some of the characters!
So, did this story make you think a little? Hm? Well, look at that, a man's "so called" best friend, thrown out like a garbage
