Christmas eve part 1
5 weeks laterGinny:
Time seems to go by slower when your in pain. I’m still broken but I’m way better than I was. I was determined to have a good time tomorrow and tonight. Tonight caroline was throwing a party. My friends had forgiven me once I told them what happened. I explained to Rachel that I was just scared to be in a relationship and wasn’t gay. That still didn’t explain my feeling for lexa but for now I’ll just push those aside.
I arrived at the party an hour later wearing a red dress and silver shoes. I had a braid in my hair tied my a red ribbon.
“Ginny”, rose exclaimed running towards me, "Amanda's sick she couldn't make it".
Ray and Rachel heard and came over to hug me. Callie walked over as well. She was a newer member to our group.
“Caroline’s over there with josh”, Ray said.
My friends used to avoid mentioning guys for my sake but I’m glad they stopped treating me like I’d break at any moment. I looked where they were pointing and saw josh feeding her a chocolate covered strawberry.
“Their like the cutest couple ever”, Rachel said.
“I know right”, Callie said.
Rose looked down at her feet.
“Don’t worry rose you’ll have a boyfriend soon”, Ray paused before carefully adding, “Ginny you too”.
“Hey I don’t have a boyfriend either”, Callie said half kidding.
“You too Callie. We are only in 8th grade”, Rachel giggled.
Just then Caroline and josh walked over hand in hand.
“Hey josh”, rose said waving.
“Hi guys”, he said.
“Ginny you made it”, Caroline gave me a quick hug.
“So you want to get something to eat”, Rachel suggested.
“Yeah”, we all agreed.
I started walking towards the food bar. I felt a tap on the shoulder and I turned around. It was Lexa. We had spoken much sense Lewis I guess we just reminded each other of him.
“Hi lexa. how are you”, I asked?
“I’m fine I guess”, she shrugged her shoulders.
“I like the braid, you have such pretty hair”, lexa continued.
“Thanks. I’d kill for blonde hair”, I said trying to resist blushing.
Lexa smiled.
Rachel grabbed my arm, “you coming”?
“Yeah sorry”, I gave Lexa an apologetic glance.
“It’s fine”, she mouthed.
