Chapter 5; Demonslayers

"Weapon call!" Lori shouted out, holding up her own weapon, a long silver sword.
"Claws n' fire, baby!!" Deido nearly punched Kiri in the shoulder holding them up. Kiri didn't respond, staring at the tall castle before her. The words of the legend she read echoed through her mind over and over. The Shadows were banished, to stay outside of the town of Purgatory..outside town..
"Hey. Kiri-I mean Eye? You ok?" Deido raised an eyebrow.
"Huh-Oh, yeah, yeah. I'm good. My weapon is the force my 'fingers' form." Lori smiled, nodding. "Yep, I can tell. You did a number on his fire earlier." Deido sighed in annoyance. Lori turned, knocking hard on the castle doors. It opened a crack, an eye peeked out at them. It was pink, pupils in a shape of a heart.
"Can I help you?"
"We're here to see Lord Dimrock, ma'am." Lori spoke clearly and loudly to the one on the other side of the door. The one on the other side paused and closed the door again. A conversation could be heard, but no words could be made out. The door creaked open for them. Lori gulped, motioning for the others to follow. Deido tensed up, glancing around.
"Now? R-right now, you mean. O-ok. Let's..let's go."
"Why are you holding my hand?" Kiri was glaring at him the best she could with just a holographic eye. Deido yelped and jerked away from her. "NO REASON! BYE!" He shot through the doors with Lori with Kiri close behind. They ended up in a large throne room with candles lining a long red carpet. It led up to a throne, with..
"My Lord, someone wishes to speak with you." The demon in the throne nodded, a calm smile on his face. He has one long winding horn, the other being shattered right at the base. He was dressed in a long, long cloak that covered up his whole body other than the long sleeves that reached down to his wrists. His eyes gleamed a dull yellow, countering the dark red of his skin. On the robe, a giant fire weaved with fabric reached up to the neck.
"May I help you?" He sat up a bit to gaze down at them. "I'm not too busy at the moment, so do take all the time needed."
Lori could hardly say anything. There he was, before them, in all of his demon glory. And he wasn't hardly as fierce as The Gateskeeper had clai--
"WE HAVE COME TO SLAY YOU, LORD DIMROCK, TYRANNICAL OVERLORD OF PURGATORY!" Deido yelled at the top of his lungs, a new fire in his eyes and in his hands. Dimrock sighed heavily, standing up.
"I knew this day would come..So be it." His fingers seemed to flash into claws. He closed his eyes, and sighed.
"Then let's begin." The first lines of attack already started. Lori has moved quick, tearing a wound into Dimrock's side before being knocked to the floor, a loud ringing in her ears..all too familiar. Deido and Kiri, however, had other plans. (Writers note real quick; THIS FIGHT IS NOT LONG SORRY) Retrieving Lori's sword with her fingers, Kiri quickly gripped it tight and dragged Deido over. Holding the sword in the middle, she shaped out a cannon-like funnel and aimed.
"GONNA NEED YOUR FIRE HERE, DEIDO!"
"Got it." A small ball at first, growing into a large blast, launched through the funnel. It propelled the sword forward with the speed of the burst of flames, causing both a large flame and a scorching silver sword to catapult towards Dimrock. And yet, he didn't fight back. He only stared at the oncoming attack, as if he didn't want to fight at all. The sword pierced through fabric and skin, right through the chest. He only stared down at it and dropped to his knees. Blood began staining the robe.
"Well..you've done it. Are you happy with yourself? The other people who tried got their souls shattered across time and space. Not yours. And look what it got you. Purgatory is going to fall apart at this ra--" The doors swung open again. An all too familiar chuckle rang out through the throne room.
"WELL. WELL. WELL. LOOK WHO WE HAVE HERE!" Dimrock's eyes widened, mouth open with shock.
"Gateskeeper?" Lori said, dazed, slowly sitting up. "Is that--" Kiri shushed her. Only one word slipped from Dimrock's mouth, shaking in a mixture of sadness and shock.
"Void."
