5 Days after Cora had kissed me and all that time I had mixed feeling about it. It was still in my head. Just going over and over in my head as if I was suppose to go back. But now it was too late I had found a small building in the middle of the city that I could hide in. I bring people here and they leave when they feel their ready to go. I was alone at the moment but I was waiting. Sitting in a chair with my hands in my head. Then I heard gunshots and screaming. Time to act. I push myself up and off the chair and made my way to a small manhole in the middle of the room. I opened the manhole lid and jumped in. I landed and looked around, I saw it was clear and ran along the sewer.

I ran up a ladder and pushed another lid off. I pulled myself up and started to run still hearing the gunshots. It was safer to move by roof top and that's what I do all the time. I have even put up some posters saying "Stay on the roofs if you can". I got to the edge of a building and looked around. I didn't see anything but I could still hear the gunshots. No they weren't on the ground. I looked at a window on a building not to far from me and saw flashes. There they are! I had to wait getting into a building with zombies and people shooting was a bad idea. So I waited until I saw the door to the roof burst open. I had to move quickly they only had a small bit of ground left. I ran along the roof tops jumping the gaps quickly. I reached were I had to turn and jumped. Landing I rolled and carried on running only being 2 building away. It was only when I got to the last one did I realized who I was saving. It was John, Cora and Tristan. I made the last jump and was now behind them "Hey Guys! Get over here!" they all turned and paused for a second. Cora for one trusted me and jumped over followed by Tristan soon after. John was still standing there until he looked behind him. He jumped seeing that the zombie were still coming. With that we all ran off again jumping and running as fast as we could. I saw 2 ways to go at the next building and said "John, Tristan you guys go down the build stairs and shut the door behind you! Me and Cora will bye you some time! Meet her near the bottom I'll get her there soon!" they didn't argue and just did. John and Tristan went through a door shutting it behind them. The zombies started to chase me and Cora but had picked up the pace. There was one more building to clear until we could head down but as we jumped. The roof went in and me and Cora went straight through it. We were OK but we had to find a way out quickly! "There!" Cora yelled and pointed at a door. I ran at it and smashed it open to see stairs. That will do. We made our way down quickly. We realized the zombies had lost us so we started to walk down them. I looked at Cora trying not to be awkward but I had to ask "Cora do...did or do you have feeling for me?" I just needed to know before it drove me insane.
She looked at me and said "Did yeah. Then you left and I just gave up on you" that made me feel bad. "Josh we need you know. I need you"
I had to think about it "I-I-I can't you know why" I turned away.
She stopped behind me "Josh please we are falling apart without you" what did she mean?
"What do you mean falling apart?" I asked her stopping in me tracks.
"We just are it's not the same there's hardly any food and supplies" She was going on about the very thing I left for "A-and without you there's no. Look we think John may be going mad and Kate's freaking out. Then I have nothing to do and I thought we could be something."
She made fair points but I couldn't now and I walked up to her "Cora I can't you know that" I could face the fact I still liked her "Just I-" she done it again. She interrupted me again. She had press herself against me and was kissing me again. I couldn't turn away from her could I this was all I had. She was right I had to go back. I got her off me to say "Cora I was an idiot and I-I'm sorry" she nodded and hugged me. I returned it but not for long. "Look we best go before I get my head chopped off by John" We nodded and I kicked the door open. They were there already.
John looked at me "Sorry for what I was like Josh. Your right, now that I've seen what you do everyday I understand why you walked out" I smiled as he said that. We all slowly walked back to the camp I once left. This time it was different.
