For Cana...
It was indeed him. The very man who had caused Cana and Sonata so much pain over so many years. He had intoxicating eyes that looked like shattered mirrors covered with crimson blood. Sonata belived that looking straight into those eyes could forever scar a perfectly innocent soul. Obsidian-hued hair graced his lightly tanned face, his perfect lips were pursed solemnly together."At last we meet again, Stamenovic."
Sonata drew his sword.
The shadow drew his own twisted weapon, clutching it tightly in his gloved hands. Cana stood silently to the side, shaking in fear. Her fingers were twisted around a small object that flashed silver in the dull light.
Just seconds later, Sonata and Canatra were battling once again. The princess gasped each time the evil man's sword sliced her best friend's skin apart, pulling back paper and letting pomegranate seeds flow. Sonata also did a good amount of damage to the challenger as well.
Thrown by the great force of his opponent's sword, the man clad in wool collapsed in a puddle of rainwater. The pigment of his crimson blood stained the puddle the same color as Canatra's gleaming eyes.
Cana thought sure that she saw the reflection of her best friend's ancestor.
he waited for Sonata to regain his composure, the shadow warrior began to taunt the princess, who closed her eyes tightly.
"Don't close your eyes. You will see him bleed...How familiar this must look to you..."
Cana began to sob in fear.
"No!" "Stop it!" "Please no more!"
The crying form of her ancestor lingered above her head for a moment, before fading into nothingness.
"Cana...Wait for me. Cana..."
Sonata pushed himself to his feet, his body crying out for rest.
"I will not die until you are safe!"
He leapt into the air and landed, plunging his sword into the evil lord's chest. With the scream of a thousand tourtured souls, the evil knight's form began to disintegrate.
And the rain began again.
