Dis part 2: HADES'S WRATH

Death kills us

The room is suddenly filled with lightening and a mass of swirling black smoke. Someone's screaming, probably me. Hey, I'd had a hard day. First I got bitten in the shoulder, them I listened to 26 Percy stories in a row, almost got shot in the face, got bitten by a nine-year-old, and now someone's trying to murder me? But I've had worse.
When the smoke clears, Annabeth is standing in the corner of the room with her hands over her face, Julia is sitting on the floor with her mouth wide open in a silent scream, Ralph is huddled against the wall with his bow drawn, and Ajax is standing in the middle of the room with his hands raised to the ceiling. And me? I'm still yelling my head off.
Everyone's looking at me. I stop screaming.
"Thanks, grandpa." Ajax mutters.
"You summoned the lightening from...from Jupiter?" Annabeth murmurs.
"Uh, yeah." Ajax says.
"What about the black smoke?" I ask, standing up and brushing off my jeans.
"For effect." Ajax mutters, embarrassed.
"Hey...where's Pluto?" Ralph is the first one to remember we were about to be murdered.
We look around, jumping at small noises. Eventually Ajax yells, "Here!" And we crowd around him. Hades is lying on is back, his eyes closed and his body smoking. "Whoa...awesome!" I say.
"We're in total control of the Underworld!" Ralph whispers, his voice filled with awe and a little fear as well.
"Not for long." Annabeth adds darkly. She stoops to grab his arms. "Help me, guys! We gotta hide the evidence!"
Ajax and I help drag Hades's body into a closet and seal the door with superglue (something I carry around, just in case). Then we return to the others.
"What do we do now?" asks Julia. I'm a little annoyed that she seems to be looking at Ajax instead of Annabeth or I.
"We search his stuff and try to find out what's going on." I interject just as Ajax starts to speak. "Then get the Hades out of here!"
"I like that idea." nods Ajax. I glare at him and he blushes.
"Scared."
"Am not!"
"Prove it"
So Ajax is the first one to open the forbidding black door at the end of the hall.
And he's the first one to see it.
