Homecoming
I entered the market and tied my horse to a post. She whinnied and everyone gave her a lot of space. Most horses in our area are bays but Shadow is black with dark eyes. I went straight to the herb peddler and filled my basket with everything I was short on and then I moved to the fabric peddler. I picked up fabrics in blue and yellow and gray when I had paid for it I felt someone behind me. I turned and flipped the man over my shoulder causing quite the stir in the market for that was not lady-like.
"Owww..." the man said but I knew the voice and helped him up.
"Teague! I thought you were performing at the Court," I yelped quickly helping him up and dusting him off. He smiled weakly and embraced me tightly.
"Hello Little Sister," he snickered in my ear and helped me pick up my dropped goods. We went back to the horses and mounted when a young man approached my horse. Shadow grew nervous and I knew that she had much better instincts then I did.
"Can I help you Sir,"I said looking down on him as he approached.
"I bring a message from the court Milady for the Prince Lamonte," he said and bowed before handing me the letter and disappearing into the market. I made a face and we steered toward home with Teague talking about his adventures at court the whole way. When we arrived at the manor a page came to collect our horses and I sent word that Teague was home.
"T!,"a chorus of voices sounded before he was tackled to the ground by my other four brothers. I was laughing when my eldest brother came out of the manor and hugged me. We laughed as my brothers helped Teague to his feet before embracing him.
"Teague," my brother said moving to embrace him.
Gaelan,"Teague responded curtly.
"Teague, Gaelan," a deep voice said from the door way. Teague turned around with a large frown on his face.
"Hello Father."
