Diary of a 5th Grader

Test

Dear Diary,

Today we had a test. It was three pages long and it was about math. I hate math but Dana helped me study so I think I did pretty well. I took my time and Mrs. Pelletier complimented me on my good handwriting. I told Sarah about it at recess but she was crying so I asked her why.
She said that Cameron broke up with her. I said we were too young to have boyfriends and girlfriends anyway but she wouldn't listen so I sat down beside her and rubbed her back. She said I was a good friend and I blushed.
Mark was sitting alone underneath a tree again so I went over to him and asked him how he liked the dance last night. He said he ate too much candy and thew up at home. I laughed because that was kind of funny and he smiled. Maybe we can actually date. But not yet because I'm too young to date.
I asked Mom when I could date when I got home and she said not until I'm 12 so that stinks. I wonder if she'll let me date sooner. Maybe she will if I am a sweet daughter.
