Shadow x reader: How I feel about you...

Starting the journey

The last night had arrived.Shadow is going to be leaving in the morning.You were in bed,still awake.You thought about the decision about leaving."Should I go? I mean,it could be fun.I could finally leave this place,and make some more friends."But the negative side of you says"I finYou don't know what is out there."You look around your room,and come across the picture of your parents.You smile and reminisce about how your parents told you to make new friends and enjoy life while you can.At least that's what your father had said before he passed away.You look through your window.The snow had already melted,but the ground was still wet and the grass was brown.You nod in understanding and grab your backpack.You'll be leaving in the morning,and you hope that it won't be too dangerous.
    The next morning,you woke up,tired from the packing last night.You got out of bed,and realized that you had already changed as well.You left your room to find Shadow sitting at the table in the kitchen.His bandage off,and there was only a small bruise on his shoulder.You go to the cabinet to get something to eat.Once you got your cereal,you sat down at the table.Shadow looks up at you,but you stare down at your cereal."Have you decided?"he asks you.You nod."I'll go."You say quietly.You look up and see Shadow staring at you."Are you sure?You sound hesitant."You nod."Yeah!Besides,it could be exciting!"You smile happily at Shadow.For the first time,he smiles back at you."Well,I guess we'll go together."
    You trudged through the water soaked ground,tired from carrying your backpack.It was the middle of the day,and you were following Shadow."How do you know where your going?"You ask Shadow.Shadow keeps staring straight ahead.He stops."This is the place where I was injured.Stick close."You look around nervously as you slowly move forward with Shadow.You hear a twig snap.You jump in fright and dash forward closer to Shadow."Its okay.It was just a stick."You look down and blush in embarrassment."Sorry.I didn't know."Shadow moves closer to you."It's okay."
   When you finally leave the frightening place,the sun was already set.You look back,and realised that you had left your wooded home.Shadow looks at you,and ask"You want to take a break?"You shake your head."No.I'm fine."After you say that,you realise how tired you are.He notices the look on your face and says"Well,we are stopping anyway.We don't have too far to go."You stop and open your backpack to prepare to make camp.Shadow helps you with the camp.When its complete,you noticed that the moon had fully risen to the sky.You settle into your sleeping bag,and noticed that Shadow was sitting up in his sleeping bag."Aren't you going to sleep?"you ask.Shadow nods."Soon.You can go on ahead to sleep if you want."You lay down."Okay."
        After awhile,you were scrunched up in the sleeping bag,cold.You shuddered.You looked over and noticed that Shadow was on his side.You weren't certain if he was asleep or not.You move down in your sleeping bag and close your eyes.Suddenly you hear movement,and you felt something pull you back.You open your eyes and see a black arm holding you loseley.You look at Shadow,without moving."I'll keep you warm."Shadow says.You look forward,blushing a little,and nod.You close your eyes and hear Shadow's breathing,as you fall asleep.
