Beach Ride

On Sunday Katie and her horse Rosie arrived Rosie's name certainly suited her as she had a roan coat and seemed a loyal sort of pony.
At Luch time on Sunday Ellen, Sofie and Katie all went out for a ride on the beach as according to Sofie's mum "It is such a lovely day and the horses will get bored and have a BBQ if they are cooped up any longer" she said as she handed Sofie a map with a track down to the beach marked on it.
"So I think if we go down here then follow this track and then through this gate we should get to the beach in ten minutes, then we can have some proper races along the beach there won't be many people there by the time we get there becaus we have to tack up and I have to find my helmet." explained Sofie while Katie was digging aroung in her bag for her new gloves.
"Bingo!" said Katie as she pulled a pair of gloves out of her bag and put them on.
"Come on let's go and tack up, or we'll never get there!" said Sofie pulling on her riding hat.
As they walked out to the stables they saw a horse truck pull into the car park sofie didn't reconise it but by the look on Katie's face she did.
"Oh no that's Kerry Parker's horse truck isn't it Ellen?" asked Katie Ellen nodded.
"Who is she?" asked Sofie confused.
"Oh only the most stuck-up kid at our school, her horse is called Gold Mine and she normally has grooms to do her work for her!" replied Ellen.
"Why is she even here?" asked Katie.
"How should I know I didn't even know who she was a few minuets ago?" said sofie sarcastically, "Anyway I think mum's started allocatingthe stalls now and I think she got the one with the broken water trough!"
"Now come on let's get theese horses ready for a good ride along the beach!" said Ellen
As they tacked up they were watching everything going on with Kerry and her horse Gold Mine at one point the even made the excuse they needed a new a rubber band for the edge of the stirrup to see what was going on!
