I woke up and reached for my phone. 2:30 in the morning. I rubbed my eyes and pulled myself off of my bean bag chair. The sketches that were all over my lap floated to the floor. I pulled my hair back into a bun and slid on some socks. My phone dinged.

I had a text from Asher : R u up?
me:Ya
Asher: come over i have a surprise
me: on my way...

I slid on my converses and a hoodie and dropped out my window. When i hit the ground i heard a growling noise. "Calm down, Sneakers." i said. The stray doberman stopped growling and followed me down the street. Finally i made it to Asher's back fence. I climbed over and dropped down barely missing his mother's flowers. Sneakers whined. I told him to lay down and he did but he was still whimpering. I walked through the back door making sure not to let it squeak. Asher came down the stairs, walked in the kitchen, tossed me a mtn dew and went back up the stairs. I followed him. Once we were in his room i asked him what the surprise was. He laughed and opened his pepsi. "Eager arent ya?" he smiled. I nudged him with my foot. "Come on, Ash! What is it?" His dark brown hair fell over one eye.
"Ok OK do you remember Amber?"
i slapped him. "You know not to joke about that!"
His face got really serious. "I'm not. Skylar, shes back."
