The Hospital
Tina burst through the doors, holding Gumball in her arms, most of the blood cleaned up. Going to the front desk, he signed herself in and waited impatiently for a doctor. When the doctor came, she told him that Gumball was in a terrible accident, and she didn’t know exactly what happened, just that she found him like this. The doctor nodded and walked her to the x-ray room. They had to take off his clothes, except his underwear, so they can take x-rays easier. Taking Gumball’s x-ray, the doctor had a shocked look on his face.“Impossible… it seems as if his bones are mending themselves… slowly but surely… he’ll still need organ and blood transfusions, though…” Tina didn’t respond, instead looked at Gumball, trying to figure out why he did that for her. She helped him with Gumball, taking him to the emergency room, where she wasn’t allowed into. She sat in the waiting room, thinking. Why did she cry for him? Why did he do all of that for her, the one who made his life terrible since they met? She put her head in her hands and cried. He did nothing to deserve this. Curse his kindness, it was what made him do this. He was too kind to her, when he should hate her. She stopped crying. What did he feel towards her? If it isn’t hate, then what? Anger? Pity? She shook her head. Gumball was too kind to have feelings like that. Her thoughts wandered off. It’s been quite a while since they last saw each other. Looking back on earlier, she blushed slightly. Gumball was quite buff, having a four pack even though he’s fifteen, his arms modestly ripped as well as his legs. Even though he had makeup on and it was smudged, he was very handsome. When they looked over his body, front and back, she noticed multiple scars on his body. She furrowed her brow. There were three on his chest, one on his belly and another on his back, as if something went straight through his belly to his back. She was going to ask him when he woke up. Why was she so worried about him? Was it because she wouldn’t be able to pay him back? No, that’s not the reason. it was more than that. A voice broke her thoughts and lifted her spirits. A voice that made her happy, and made her realize that she had fallen in love with the owner of said voice.
“T-Tina…?” Gumball asked, raspy and weak. She went to his bedside, a worried look on her face. There were tear stains on her cheeks. This made Gumball smile weakly, showing his neon green eyes from under his blood stained hair. "Crying for little old me?" he chuckled, teasing her. She shook her head, smiling softly. "Yeah... you scared me, you big lug..."
After a moment of silence, they said in unison, "I have something to tell you..." they looked at each other in shock and chuckled quietly, looking away slightly with a soft blush on their cheeks.
