The Reality
Gumball smiled softly and grabbed his dislocated shoulder and forced it back into it’s socket with a gut wrenching crack. He winced slightly and flexed his fingers a bit, making sure they worked. He walked slowly, ignoring the pain. He was looking downwards a bit, his eyes hidden by his long bangs. Tina’s father growled and lifted his foot to stomp on him. When his foot hit the ground with a loud crack, Tina cried out.“Gumball!” she yelled, saddened. Why would he do that for her? She was an asshole to him. She treated him like crap, yet, at the end of the day, he still had a smile on his face, like nothing fazed him. Maybe that’s why she bullied him, as well as the fact that she’s bullied at home. He doesn’t have a care in the world and she wanted to show him how terrible the world can actually be. When her father lifted his foot, she saw the broken figure of Gumball. He was face down. Most of his bones were broken, twisted to angles they shouldn’t. He lifted his head so he could look at her. His face was a bloody mess, nose, eyes, forehead and lip bleeding, staining his blue fur and his black clothes, adding a stench of fresh blood to the air. When he saw her, he did something that both, shocked her and made her happy. He smiled.
“It’s okay, Tina… everything will be… okay…” he said softly, closing his eyes. Tina’s father left, his anger satisfied. Tina walked to Gumball, slowly lifting his half-unconscious, still smiling body into her reptilian arms, pulling him close. She wept softly.
