A Savior Appears

School was a blur like usual. It wasn't that you couldn't understand the material, or that it was hard, it was that everything the teachers would talk about you already knew. All you could think about was getting back into the forest where you felt safe. Tony was in the grade above you, and other than him you really didn't have any friends. You always worked alone even if the class was doing group work. The whole day was one big daydream. You just twirled your hair and stared out the window. The sound of your name broke the trance.
"Y/N?"asked the teacher. Everyone was staring at you.
"Could you please repeat the question?" you asked blushing wildly.
"What does pi stand for?"
"3.14." you answered with relief
"Please pay attention." Said Mr.Edwards turning back to the black board. You looked at the clock, 10 more minuets till school's over. Soon enough the bell started to scream and everyone jumped from their seats. They stormed like a stampede down the hall. As you shoved your way through the crowd, you were looking for Tony wanting to walk home with him. Finally, you saw his head above the crowd and made you way toward him.
"Hey, wanna walk home with me?" you asked as you finally reached him. He gave an upset frown.
"I'm sorry, but I have soccer practice."
"Oh, alright. Guess I'll see you later." You said putting in your headphones. You scrolled to some of your softer music. As you walked out of the building you began to head towards your house. You were starting to get the feeling that you were being followed. You increased your pace as you made it to the street next to yours. Finally your fears came to life. "Hey Headphones!" you heard someone shout. You didn't even give a second thought, you started to run as fast as you could. Toward the closest safe place, the forest. You heard footsteps behind you, threatening to trample you. As you reached the forest the footsteps didn't stop. You continued to run until your lungs screamed in protest. Then you got an idea. You grabbed the branch of a tree and started to climb.

You reached a high branch and looked down to see the three bullies looking around puzzled, trying to find a way to get me out of the tree. You gasped for breath as you watched them begging to get angry. Finally, the leader gave a dark smile. You cursed to yourself as she picked up a rock. Soon all three were chucking rocks at you. Then, you were knocked out of the tree as one struck you hard on the forehead. "Slender!" You screeched. There.There was a sickening thump as your body crashed down to the earth. Your body screamed in pain as a hard blow nailed you in the stomach. You were already on the brink of passing out as you felt your hair yanking you up. A blow landed on your cheek shoving you back to the ground. You waited for the next hit but it never came. There was a dreadful silence as you felt cold hands prop your head up.
You tried to open your eyes, but they wouldn't. A sickening darkness was starting to block out your consciousness. The hands slid under you and lifted you up leaving your arms and legs dangling limp in midair. You moaned softly as the pain in your ribs screamed. You felt something smooth trace your left eye where you had been punched. The cold on your skin felt like stinging needles. Your arms swayed with each step. Then, you felt yourself being lowered to the ground. As you touched the hard earth, you let out a soft sigh. Slowly, you opened your eyes. You could see leaves high above your head with branches swaying in the wind. You let out a soft whimper as you scanned the sky above you. Everything hurt.
"Shh my child." hushed a smooth voice. You soon found Slender leaning over you. "Everything will be alright." He said stroking the hair out of your eyes. The sky was grey promising rain. You tried to move but found yourself slipping into darkness. You slowly closed your eyes.

You opened your eyes in the dim light. You felt something resting on your eye making you half blind. You reached up and touched it to see what it was. A cold wash cloth. You picked it up and felt a searing pain below. Your head throbbed and your ribs felt destroyed. You were too afraid to move because of the fear that the pain would get worse. You looked at your surroundings. You were surprised to find that you were in your room. You gasped in pain as you tried to sit up. You felt the bed shift as Slender appeared at your side. So he had been the one who had helped you. Tears threatened to escape as he murmured in a soft voice. "Are you alright?"
You threw your arms around his neck and buried your face in the shoulder of his suit. The tears started to flow, you couldn't help it. Slowly, he wrapped his arms around you returning the hug. "It's okay, you're safe now." he murmured in your ear, "They can't hurt you anymore." You tightened your grip around him, "They're dead?" you asked  with a shaky voice. He slowly nodded his head. You shoved you face deeper into the soft suit. "Please don't leave me." you whimpered "Please don't leave me like everyone else." You said knowing he had seen your memories, of your family, of your brother, of everyone you've lost and everyone that's hurt you.
"I won't." he whispered "I'll be by your side until you request me to leave."
