The Dream Starts
I was living in a small villiage in what was known as the tribe of Del. Adin was a black smith in a forge some ways away in the forest. Since he was known as the mystical black smith due to his fine crafts of steel, bronze, and other various metals, he was elected as keeper of the gem. Rumor had it that tribes were being invaded by powerful shadow spirits, and the leader, was known simply as the Shadow Lord. Survivng, but wounded travlers told me that the shadows acted as commanders, and the real terror were Grey Gaurds, and even this fabled Ol which has the ability to change form (I doubt it even exists). The Shadow Lord conquered the tribes one by one. Adin, through the power of the topaz, cleared his mind and saw what was happening through a telescope on top of the forge. Our tribes were allied to some degree, on tribal raids, but not enough to unify agaiants invading sorcerying shadows. The armies of the north were able to hold back the Shadow Lord's army for about 2 weeks and 6 days. On the last day of that week, the northern tribes, though they fought long and hard, were scattered throught the land, seeking refuge. Adin then woke in the middle of the night, with a strange dream given to him through the topaz and grabbed his sword, and his food, went to the forge all night. (I was a close friend of Adin and our family was given a long life when he bessed us as king which is how we lived for so long and have accurate details) The next morning, Adin came out with the soon to be famous, gleaming belt of Deltora. He placed his gem into what I thought was a random spot, but I was soon to be in error. He rode upon his horse, and I with him, and we gallopped acrose each tribes' borders. It was hard work trying to find the tribes holder, but the magic of the black smith put into the belt, would warm itself when we were near the gems and their keeper. I have to go, for it is my meal time. I will continue later on this story. I can't keep my family waiting to eat.
