The race begins

There was only one room with dim lighting. It was dim to scare any intruders.
    And prisoners.
    Which included Lea-Anne.
She was confined into one small cell on her own. Although she was strong, she couldn't break the bars. And her fear of confinement made it worse. She tucked her knees into her chest, and 3 simple words completely summed the situation.
    "This totally SUCKS!"
The door opened, and Lea-Anne sprang to her feet, expecting Eggman to stand there. Only it wasn't Eggman.
"What do you want with me," Lea-Anne asked the strange figure. Her voice was nervous, anxious. Even tears were swelling in her eyes. But she tried to remain brave.
"Why do you care? Just shut up and follow me," the voice replied. Lea-Anne's cell door opened, as the cloaked figure grabbed her hand and dragged her across the hallways. When they reached the door to a laboratory, a shiver crept down Lea-Anne's spine.
Eggman was standing beside the bed. It looked similar to a hospital bed, like the type found in surgical units at hospitals. He held a syringe in his left hand.
"Relax, sweetheart. It won't hurt," Eggman approached Lea-Anne, escorting her to the bed.
"Never. Never, call me sweetheart," Lea-Anne scolded at him, slapping his left arm.
    Not a clever move.
Because Eggman then inserted the needle into Lea-Anne's neck, and pressed down on the plunger. The liquid was inserted into her body, causing a dizziness, which eventually knocked her unconscious.
"Perfect," he said. "Place her in my new invention. I think it's time Sonic met his match: his own sister!"

"Can't you get any closer? I can't see a thing!"
The Tornado was high in the sky, chasing the Egg Hawk, with Tails piloting. Sonic stood - or rather crouched - on the left wing of the plane.
"Bit risky doing that, but I can try," Tails replied. He set the controls to fly closer towards the Hawk.
Risky, yes. Brave, definitely! And Sonic wasn't even scared!
A light then flickered on in a distance, revealing an entrance. And Sonic saw the entrance. "Down there, Tails!"
"Are you crazy?! You might end up being the cause of our deaths," Tails did not seem to agree with Sonic's decision.
"Do you want to save Lea or not?"
"Yeah, but I don't want to risk dying."
Tails didn't like being close to death. But it was something Sonic was used to. It didn't bother him a bit.
But still Tails flew closer to the entrance. With a courageous smile on his face, Sonic launched himself inside, landing feet first.
And off he ran, towards Lea-Anne.

It was my first time writing a story. I didn't know what to do so I made this. And yes, I tried to copy the writing style of the author that wrote Divergent. Guilty!
