Healing and Graves
"Thanks," He said as he took it. Kate watched as the red head dampened a cloth, then used it to wash out the other boy's wounds.
"Will he be all right?"
"I think so, you came here fast enough." Once Cy was finished the boy had bandages covering both of his arms, his leg, and half of his face. He gave him the rest of the water to drink. After quenching his thirst, he actually looked alive.
"Thanks," he said quietly, "W-who are you?"
The medical student answered first. "I'm Cy, and this is Kate." he added, gesturing towards the pretty girl. although, he looked even more frightened when he saw her.
"I-I'm T-T-Tom." he choked out. Tom was still staring at Kate, and he appeared to be trying to slink out of sight..
"Oh, I get it!" Kate said suddenly, making the poor boy jump, "The dark has made my eye even scarier than it all ready is!"
"It's all because you won't let me look at it!" Cy snapped.
"There's nothing to look at!"
"It wasn't like that at the party!"
"But I'm not hurt!"
"Yes you are!"
"Well, my eye isn't hurt!"
"Then why is it red!?!" While the two of them were arguing, Tom decided that it was the perfect time to make his escape. He began inching away, following the cliff. He felt an opening, so he climbed into a small cave. he listened to them continue yelling at each other from in there. Suddenly, they stopped.
"Where's Tom?" Kate asked.
"I don't know..." Cy replied.
"I'm sorry, this is my fault."
"Don't be, I'll go look for him."
"I'll finish Sally's grave. I was interrupted when we realized Tom was alive." Cy then entered the vegetation. Tom could hear scraping and moving sand. Who was Sally? Was she someone they killed? Many questions were flowing through Tom's head, until finally, his curiosity got the best of him. He crawled out of the cave and watched Kate work. Then, the girl saw him.
"Oh, there you are, Tom." she said, but continued what she was doing. Kate left, and then came back, carefully carrying the body of a pretty, blonde girl. they had no coffin, so she lay down in the hole the way it was. Tom came out and looked in.
"Who is she?"
Kate looked at him, her eyes watering a little again. "My best friend, Sally."
"How did she die?"
"The crash injured her, and then some boulders fell from that cliff and crushed her." The others returned, except for Roger and Rebecca.
"So you're burying her now, huh?" Cy said, "I hope you weren't going to do it without me." They all helped to fill the hole up.
