Control Of The Heart
As the flames disappeared, I glared at my shoulder. Black blood ran down on my clothes. Grinding down on my teeth, I walked to my bed and laid down. 'Damn it. I am in love with the hotter brother while the other is wanting to kill me.' Laying on the soft bed, I felt my body began to engulf in a feel of numbness. Closing my eyes, I allowed my demon body heal my wound as I entered the world of sleep.A loud bang woke me up from my deep sleep. Slowly, I opened my tired eyes and walked to the door. Rubbing my eyes, my father stood arms crossed and eyes black. Running my hands through my knotty red hair, I asked, "Is it time for Marcus' decision already?" Father pushed me aside and walked to the room
As I shut my door, father said, "You know where your place is correct?"
"Yes, Father."
"You failed to get two flames to join us. Also, you have becoming very close to the blue flame."
"Nothing is going on my place is here."
"Michaela, even though you failed to retrieve two flames, I would rather you stay by myself. You are more powerful than all of the flames combined. Also, my daughter should understand how strong I am. I can destroy anything that gets in my way, but you already know since you watched it happen with your mother." Walking out of my room, my father place his hand on my shoulder. His red fingers tighten his grip around my bone and said, "Oh by the way do not trust humans. They only care about themselves." His red finger stuck inside my half healed hole in my shoulder. Biting my lip, my father let go of my shoulder and exited my room.
Walking to my closet, I opened the door and grabbed black skinny jeans, black tank top, and a long sleeve leather jacket. After taking off my dirty clothes, I threw them in the corner and slid on my new clothes. Glaring at the mirror, I ran my fingers through my red hair and noticed my mother. I resembled so much of her my heart began to break. I missed my mother every time I looked at the mirror. Shaking my head, I walked out of the closet and to the window.
'I wonder what Marcus is doing. Why am I focusing on Marcus? Could I really be changing? Maybe the light is a good side to choose.' My thoughts ran around my brain until I realized it was almost time to leave for Heaven. I closed my eyes and let the flames teleport me into a white empty room. Shining bright, the orb hovered at the front of the room.
"Welcome Michaela. Your timing is early."
"Better to be early than late."
"You are different than your father, young child."
"Not as different as you think."
"You are. Your father never cared for your mother, but you care about Marcus."
"Lord, I may be different, but I am still his daughter."
"You are correct, but you do trust people more than him." My face stayed serious during the entire conversation. Finally, the moment came. Marcus walked out from the hallway wearing a black tight t-shirt and blue jeans with no shoes. Kneeling in front of the flight of stairs, Marcus placed his blue crystal on the stairs. God spoke in a deep voice saying, "Welcome Marcus Leonard Perry. Today is the day you will decide who you would like to join. Which side do you choose?" Marcus stood up out of kneeling position and stared at my direction. His white bangs laid on his face almost covering the stare of his blue eyes.
With a grin, Marcus answered, "I pronounce my blue flame in the name of God. I choose the side of light." As I felt my heart dropping in my chest, guys in exorcist suits ran out of the hallway. While the exorcists got their guns out, God shot a white ray of light on the blue crystal. Marcus grabbed the light blue crystal and crushed it in his hands. When the light blue flames surrounded him, the white feathery wings shot out of Marcus' back. When everything disappeared around Marcus, he turned around and stared at me. My heart felt broken into tiny into pieces as he spoke, "Michaela, I am sorry for hurting you. To be honest I did not realize how much I would care for you, but my mission was to find out how to destroy you. I am a exorcist." Drawing his sword, Marcus ran to me yelling, "Forgive me!" Then, I closed my eyes ready for the moment to finally die, but instead I felt nothing. When I opened my eyes, Marcus' sword was through Damian's heart. Black blood dripped down from Damian's body. Marcus pulled his sword out of Damian's body, and blood fell out of his body. Running to Damian's body, I picked him up in my arms.
"Damian, you idiot. Please stay with me!" I begged covering my hand over the wound.
Coughing up blood, Damian said, "Rebacca warned me of what they might do to you. *cough* I had her bring me here to save you. I could not let you die because of a boy. You were and still are my first and best friend. Thank you for being with me and bringing me back to enjoy this time."
Tears tried forming in my eyes while I said, "No you can't leave me please! We are a team! Please." A grin slid on his face until his body transformed to dust. Grabbing a pile of dust, I stood up and felt no emotions just hatred. I raised my hand up, and the bodies of exorcists began to burn in red flames. Hearing their screams was enjoyable until God stopped the flames from killing the exorcists.
Staring at Marcus, I saw his blue eyes widen while he said, "I am sorry. The sword was not meant for..."
"Silence, human!" Raising my voice to a deep no emotion tone, I stopped him from continuing his apology. "You will pay for killing Damian with your life! You used me to try to enter my emotions and kill me before I could choose a side. Well you will pay for your mistake with your life! After tomorrow, your soul is mine!" Closing my dark red eyes, I allowed the swarm of fierce red flames surrounded my body sending me back down to Hell. My mind was decided on how I planned to control my destiny.
12:00
The throne room in Hell was burning in hatred as I kneeled down in front of the stairs. I wore no shoes and a black tight short dress. Sitting in the throne chair, my father was tapping his red fingers continuously on the chair's arm rests. Placing the red crystal on a stair, my father smiled evilly at the bright orb in the back of the hallway. The orb's light shined bright across half of the room while my father spoke, " Michaela Janae Black, today is the day you choose between light or dark. Who do you choose?"
Raising my red hair out of my face, I glared at my father with my red eyes and said, "I pronounce my red flame in the name of the Devil. I choose the side of dark." My father shot black flames out of his hands and onto the red crystal. The crystal turned dark red and picked it up into my hand. Crushing it, the dark flames circled around my body as my demon wings shot out of my back. Black and red mixed around my body absorbing into my wings and skin. My wings were not red any more but dark red. Also, the red marks on my skin had darkened instead of staying red. Standing up, I turned around and vowed, "My revenge will be painful against your successor, God. I will incinerate him to ash on the day of the red moon! Evil will rise, and good will fall!" Raising my hands and mouth up in the air, I shout burst of dark red fire out of my finger tips and mouth. My now dark red wings stretched out as the fire transcended out of my fingers tips and mouth reaching the ceiling. As the flames continued to go, I thought, "With this much power, I will be able to destroy everyone who gets in my way. When the red moon arrives, I will show them just how powerful I am!" This day was the day was heart was transformed into a sea of darkness and hatred.
