Avery
"I-" I started, but I couldn't finish."Laura, it's okay, you don't have to tell me," Harry placed his hands on either side of my face, thumbs catching my tears.
I took a deep breath. "I just thought," my voice wavered.
"Let's go inside," Harry placed his hand on my back, and led me into my dark apartment. "Would you like some water?"
I nodded, trying to calm down.
Avery.
Avery.
His name kept swirling through my mind.
"Here you go," Harry handed me a glass of water.
I drank half of the glass, hoping the cold would help me snap out of it. But it didnt. "I'm sorry," I muttered, sitting on the couch. Harry joined me.
"For what? You wont even tell me what's wrong," Harry said softly.
I wanted to tell him. No, I needed to tell him.
"It's my brother," I blurted, closing my eyes. Avery's face was all I could see.
"Your brother?" Harry asked.
More tears leaked through my closed eyes. I forced a nod.
"Okay," I felt Harry come closer.
"His name was Avery," I managed.
"Laura, love, you don't have to tell me," Harry whispered, I could feel his breath against my hair.
"I do! I want you to know, I need to talk about it."
"Okay, tell me."
"He...He died two and a half years ago."
"Laura," Harry pulled my head to his chest. Hearing his hearbeat calmed me down enough to continue.
"He commited suicide," once the last word was out of my mouth, I broke down.
