The First Three
'Of course you're covered in her blood! We killed her you twit!'
All of a sudden, this random voice popped into my head, sending fear down my spine. Looking around, I tried to find where it had come from, only to see the darkness of the shabby room we were in.
'Not to ruin all of our fun,' Venom dripped off of the voice, which held a small hint of and English, maybe and Irish lilt to it. 'But won't the police be a little... upset... if they find you here covered in this young woman's blood?'
My name is Seth Warren, and that is how this story starts- me and the voice, running from to cops because of some murder I don't remember committing. This voice has been with me ever since that day. It's been almost a year now, and the only thing I've manged to remember is my name. Almost a year since we started running, and I still can't remember anything. I don't even know if I want to remember anymore.
Sighing softly, I put the pen down onto the small desk, closing the leather bound journal to lean back in my char.
'What's got you down THIS time?' the voice asked, sounding as if he had just woken up.
"That's none of your business, and I'm not down! I'm just getting ready for bed!" I snapped, standing to turn the lamp off. I hated cheap motel rooms, almost more than I hated this entire adventure.
Sighing again, I walked over to the bed, unbuttoning my shirt and crawling under the covers. One again, I tried to get the image of the woman's corpse out of my mind. It had been haunting me this entire time, and even the writing didn't help to get rid of it.
Turning over, I curled up into the fetal position and fell into a fitful sleep.
POV CHANGE
I let out an irritated sigh as darkness covered me from seeing any more. What I had to stay here, I didn't know. I figured after I killed that stupid woman, he would have let me go, but now, he didn't even remember the reason I was here.
That just made me even angrier. I loved the kid, of course I did, I was created to care for and love him. But this was the SECOND time he lost his memory! And it was freaking nearly impossible to get it back the first time!
Maybe I could find another way to bring it back. Growling softly, I reached out, pushing against the "inner wall" that separated my mind from his.
'Let me in...' I growled, pressing a little harder, only to be blinded by a bright light. Was it morning already?
POV Change
I saw lights. Bright, white lights. I blinked... and blinked again.
The light eventually seemed to dim down, making it easier for me to see all of the... people... these were people...
At least, that's what my mind was telling me. All of these people... they were looking down, watching me.
"Good, she's awake." one stated, looking at the clipboard in... her... hands.
"Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?" another asked, this one male.
I blinked again. "Where-Where am I?" I forced out, trying to sit up, only to find thick, leather straps holding me down.
"It's good, seeing as she's still not dead." a softer, raspy male voice came from the corner behind the cold table I was strapped to.
Hearing this new voice caused me to try and looked back
He was... unusual... this was the only word my mind could come up with to describe him. He looked, well, he looked like he was dying. It wouldn't be until later that I would find out that he actually was. His skin was a pasty grey, as if he hadn't stepped out into the sun for a really long time. His eyes were dark and lifeless, with thick, dark rings around them. He had this matted black hair that hung low to his shoulders and he wore loose, doctor-like clothes.
"Do you want us to start some more tests?" the woman asked him, her dark eyes flicking back to me.
"No, just put it back under." The Doctor stated with a slight wave of his hand as he left the room.
The next thing I remember was a slight pricking feeling in my arm, and a strange darkness filling my vision.
