A Sparkle of Romance

Chapter 4

As we entered the dark caves entrance I just managed to see two lunar ponies guarding very big gates. As they recognized  Shadow they pushed both the metal gates open, creaking as it slowly swung open.
Inside was brighter but only dimly lit by torches on the walls, there were hallways to the left and right but the very big entrance hall we landed in had only one heavy wooden door that wasn't very far from us. Shadow continued leading us by going through the only, large door in the room. In the room was a throne made of silver that reflected the light of the torches and on the throne was princess Luna, her navy blue mane swaying as if there was wind there, glowing and sparkling as if it provided its own light. Then she greeted us with the 'Royal Canterlot' voice.

"Princess Twighlight Sparkle. I have been expecting your presence here. Shadow, good work on delivering my message, now rest, you have been flying for too long. And mr. Flash Sentry, thank you for accompanying princess Twighlight here , now my vice commander is in the west observatory you will meet him there and he will show you your suites."

"There's more than ONE observatory here?!"

"Well I AM the princess of the night, what more do you expect?"

She smiled at us as we exited her throne room and to the west wing's observatory.

The observatory  had a glass roof which revealed twinkling stars and the beautiful full moon of the night, the walls were dark blue and right in the middle of the round room was a telescope twice the size of me. I stood there, amazed of the stars and how beautiful and fragile they look.

Flash

Twighlight was stood next to me, staring at the twinkling night sky. Her eyes had a sparkle in them. She looked gorgeous, the moon's light shining on her. Our staring was interrupted by the door swinging open by a very dark brown night pony with a dull, pale blue mane and was wearing dark blue armor with princess Luna's cutie mark on it. He must be the vice commander of Luna's royal guards.

"Good evening your highness and her royal guard. May I know show you to your rooms?"

He gestured us to leave the room, Twighlight looking disappointed by leaving the beautiful moonlit room. We walked further down the west wing and showed he showed the princess her room which had a very large two-door entrance that was as dark colored as night. he let her in her suite and showed me my suite which was one room apart. I went in and settled in a bit.

Twilight

I peeked outside one of the doors to see if the night pony guard-of-Luna has gone. I wanted to pay Flash a visit. I stepped out and found myself bump into Shadow.

"Good evening Princess Twighlight."

"Good evening Shadow! Why are yo here?"

"I live here"

He pointed to the door that separated Flash's room from mine.

"Really?"

"Yes, with my family."

"You have a wife and foals?"

"Yes. A wife and ONE foal. I'm not THAT old."

"May I meet them?"

"Sure! Come in."

He opened the door to a big room (as big as mine and probably Flash's too) there was a table to our right that had 3 chairs, a really big carpet on the floor and a king sized bed across the room. And sitting on the bed was a white solar Pegasus  pony with a pearly white mane and a red fire ruby as a cutie mark, behind her was a female night pony with a white streak through her long, pitch black mane.

"Shadow? Is this the princess you had to go and get?"

"Yes. Now this is princess Twighlight. She is a trainee princess so she doesn't rule a kingdom yet and she has one royal guard. She and him are quite close."

"Hello there! I'm White Sky, Shadows' wife! It's nice to meet a different princess aside from princess Luna"

I blushed and tried to blink and shake it away. Then the filly night pony ran up to me.

"Wow! You're pretty! My name is White Fire!"

"I can see where she gets her name from!"

Just as I finnished my sentence Flash came in the room.

"Hey Puffy! How ya been?"

"Hi Flash! What's up?"

"I just came by to check on you."

Then White Fire stared at Flash then at her dad.

"Daddy, is this the pony you said that you were faster than?"

"Yes."

"Hey! I'M the faster one. Not him."

Then he turned to me.

"Go back to sleep. You need some rest."

Then White Fire looked at me and Flash.

"Are you guys married?"

Me and Flash were as red as White Sky's cutie mark. We looked at each other........
