the explosion
I can't sleep. It's too hot. I get up to use the washroom. I open my bedroom door. There is flames outside my room. I close my door. Luckily Beau sleeps in my room. I pick up my golden retriever. "Can you climb, buddy?" I ask. My hair is a mess, but I don't care. I think of putting Beau on the roof and he slides down the drain pipe. That should work. I think. So I let Beau on the roof. He slides down the shingles and slides down the rain pipe. see him run off towards the front of the house. Sounds like some of the neighbours are already seeing what's wrong. The are coming out of their houses to see what's the matter. I just pray my sister and mom and puppy are ok. My dad is on a business trip. I jump on my roof. I hear the door slam, only to know my mom is coming out of the house with Katniss. My face lights up, and just as I say "Mom! Katniss!" There is the explosion.
