6 years have passed since Shun left home and we received news of his demise shortly after.. It definitely would not take me only 6 years to forget about him, it would take a lifetime to be able to forget the pain and love again. But Rann, since our engagement when I was 16, never once pressured me to get married to him. He supported our company and helped us overcome our difficulties.Rann was beside me when we received news of Shun's death. He saw me collapse and cry day and night, yet he always stayed with me and fulfilled his duties as my cousin, childhood friend and partner.
"Scarlett, here you are!" I saw Rann walking towards me. He looked stunning in his white tuxedo. He is the one I love from now on..
"Scarlett.. are you sure you want to carry on?" I looked at Rann curiously as if not quite understanding his question.. "I mean, are you ready for this marriage? It's not too late you know!" said Rann. I could feel he was a bit worried and nervous: after all, who would not feel worried if the girl they are to marry loves another guy!!
"Can we wait for another 6 years??" I said that and looked at him seriously. He was silent for a few seconds then was about to reply quickly when I burst out laughing! His worried face was so funny and teasing him had become part of my life now!! I looked at him seriously then, "No Rann, enough of waiting. I want to spend the rest of my life with you!" I held his hand, pulled him and we were almost running to the church! "I bet we look like a weird couple!!" he said and our laughter echoed..
Today is my wedding. Here in the Back Garden, I dream of seeing Shun coming back, but i know this will not happen. And I will only care for those who are alive and present around me! I think about grandpa, Rann, Mr Blood and everyone! I think about my feelings for Shun and Rann and will keep every memory alive like the flower in the resin: "Flower which never wilts."
