Redpaw ran back into camp, the only cats that died in battle were Suntail, Breezestripe, and her apprentice Ironpaw. The clan grieved for the deputy, young warrior, and apprentice, but they knew there was something that had to be done. Jaggedstar walked onto the Highrock, not leaping gracefully onto the pointed stone that held clan meetings. Redpaw didn't listen to anything, until she heard the new deputy's name, Flametail, no cheers were heard, just chattering and mews of fear. The leader also announced a new warrior, Redpaw's friend Raggedpaw, who was 2 moons older, was now Raggedjaw, for his jaw was ripped and sliced in half in the vicious battle. Redpaw's new mentor was Jaggedstar now, and Redpaw was proud. Suddenly Redpaw heard a cry, of pain and sadness go in her ripped ears. A kit's distinct cry, a Windclan kit it must be, Redpaw raced out of camp to see a kit dangling from the Great Ledge
of Pointed Rocks, where cats who were evil and battle hungry were executed, and it was not a gateway to Starclan, even the most Starclan worthy of cats would go to the Dark Forest if the fell in. Redpaw leapt to the rescue, only to find the kit had already been saved, and Redpaw had almost fallen in, but she was dangling by one sheathed claw and a measly twig stuck to her tail, she knew this was the end, she could see he great grandfather Tigerstar coming for her to the Dark Forest.
