Chapter 3
Redkit awoke with a start, racing back to camp she stumbled upon a few stones by the riverbed, hoping not to be caught by patrols. Her paws were soaked with blood, for a shard had gotten stuck in her pad, making walking, nevermind running seem like death. Her pelt was stained with mud, it dripping rainwater. Leaves stuck to he ears, and a patrol of Shadowclan had at last caught her, she fainted, and had an odd dream. A cat whose pelt glistened with stars came forward, her blue gaze locked into Redkit's eyes. Little one, I have something for you my kit, her voice echoing in the howling windof the breezy plain. What is it? whimpered Redkit, who was confused. She saw blood, sliding its way down a mountain, she saw claws snapping at other claws, unsheathed, but what struck her most was the sight of herself, pelt blowing in the wind, old as a warrior, on the Highrock, giving orders to cats below herself. A small white cat with blue eyes next to her, it looked a lot like Snowpaw, who was recently apprenticed. she realized their was a voice, the same prophecy she had heard earlier. She shuddered, but gave it no thought. She awoke in the nursery of Shadowclan, surrounded by confused, yet concerned cats, who reeked of Shadowclan.
