Meeting Melon
Star walked through the forest, her ears pricked for prey. Her paws were light, and quick on the ground. If she was going to find any prey, it was best to be quiet."Man, today's hunting is a bore" Star sighed, "hmm, maybe there's something fun I can do".
She walked farther east, where the east pets lived. "Maybe I'll meet some one new, a trusty new friend?" Star wondered out loud, "it certainly would be good luck, Striker barely lets us have fun anymore". Looking both ways, Star crossed a street.
Star couldn't wait to explore the East pet's place.Wind said they were rude, Eel said they were unfriendly, and Striker said that they were not to be messed with, Star knew doing this was breaking the rules but... who couldn't be rebellious for a bit?
As she explored the houses from outside, cats hissed. Dogs would bark rudely, and birds would sing mad songs. 'This place is no place for Wilds!' thought Star as she padded further into the East pet's territory. "Get away from here!" Star shivered as a cat hissed from a window. Star soon realized that this was a dangerous place, full of haters and killers.
"I'll go!" Star yowled as she ran, she heard hissing from behind her. Turning around she saw a group of pets glaring at her, teeth bared. "Oh no" Star gasped in sheer horror. In a sudden movement the group ran towards her, Star rushed ahead. 'I won't be able to keep this up for long!' Star thought as her paws burned on the sidewalk.
"Hey, Over here!" a red head poked out of a fence, Star quickly ran towards her. "Through this fence, hurry!" the red cat shoved Star through a crack in a fence. The red cat pushed her way after Star.
"Hello, I'm Melon" The red cat smiled, "the cats that chased you are the Patrollers". "Patrollers what?" Star looked quizzically at Melon. "The patrollers, attack cats on the East side territory, they will kill" explained Melon, "you were a stray cat on the East side territory, so they tried to kill you off. Cruel, Isn't it?". "Yeah, thanks for saving me. Also I'm not a stray, I'm a wild!" Star nodded at the She-cat, "the Wilds are a group of cats that own the forest, we hunt and take care of each other". Star made sure to make 'What Being A Wild Is' meowed, before questions were asked.
"Ok, what is it like?" Melon asked, interested in the topic. "Well, every morning you wake up to fresh kill and warm bodies of friends. You hunt and practice fighting with great fun, also you have to listen to whatever your leader says" Star started, "and there's a few rules you have to follow, but must of all you have a freedom of a forest".
"Wow! I would love to talk to your leader" Melon meowed, dreaming. "Why?" Star asked. "Because I want to be a Wild!" Melon jumped up, "if he will except me". "I'm sure he will, I was pet and he let me in" Star reassured her, even though she didn't need it. "Show me to your leader" Melon looked hungrily at Star, she nodded. "Follow me" with that Star showed her through the forest, and finally arrived at the Wild's camp.
"So you've met Melon?" a sneer came from behind Star, it was cold and unpleasant.
