Jackie's POV

Me and the guys were sat in our teams relax room waiting for Sapph to get back from the sim and Josh to wake the hell up. Where is he? The door opened and Josh stood in the door "Josh you look like hell!" Dave yelled at him. Josh came in and fell back in a chair.
"Well yeah lack of sleep will do that to ya mate" He said back, he even sounded tired.
The door opened again and this time it was Sapph "Hey Jackie we got to go" she said to me.
"Where to?" I asked her it did seem odd.
"We're taking some mechs and we are heading out to catch us a wrath" She said to me and somehow calm. It was a wrath we are dealing with, a thing that fly's and has razor sharp tentacles things coming out of it's back! Oh well guess we had to do it. I stood up and followed her to the mechs we were taking.

When we got there we had a medium and heavy mech at our feet, well we were at their feet. I was taking the medium so it came off it's stand and took a knee. I had to climb the ladder to get to it's chest. I got in and sat in the seat. It booted up and I placed me feet on the peddles and my hands on the handles. The chair moved and stood "Welcome back Sargent May" my A.I Jim said to me.
"Glad to be back. It' been a while" I said to him while making sure all the body parts moved as I did.
"It has. Prepare for attachment" He said before the screen lit up and I saw what the mech head was looking at. I could see we were moving now. The VTOL's had to carry us over to where we had to be.
"Jackie you OK?" Sapphire said to me over the radio.
"I'm good thanks." I said to her. I may just have a convocation that we normally have with her. Yeah why not? "Hey Sapph I saw you eying George today"
"Ew no not him never!" She sounded mad. "Anyway you and Dave I can see giving each other a look from time to time"
"Him?...please!" I heard laughing. Not happy!
"May I suggest something Miss May" Jim said out of the blue.
"Sure Jim what's on your mind?" I started to look around over the burning city.
"What about Commander Smith?" I paused when he said that. "You both front together and won a war together. Oh and you are both very similar, aside Commander Smith being 48% Mechanical"
"H-he's not my type" I said with thought in my head. I could hear Sapphire laughing. "And Sapph then there's you. I bet you like Josh?"
"Nah he's your love bird" She is so dead. "We are here" We were let of the hooks and landed heavily on the ground.
"Stay together and watch each others backs" I told her. I was time to get real now. I walked with my mechs assault rifle in hand along with Sapphire who had her mechs mini gun. I turned I heard something! Then there it was out of nowhere. It came straight at me and we both shot at it. it came up to me and punched it in the face. It fell back and cloaked it's self. "Where'd she go?" Sapphire asked me.
"I don't know. Eyes open" I looked around it could come out of nowhere at any point.
"Look out!" sapphire yelled. But it was too late it had grabbed my mech with it's claws and tentacle things. It was slowly digging into my mech and Sapphire didn't have a shot. "Jim back flash!" I yell. Then the back of my mech lit up and blinded the wrath. it dropped my mech and I could hardly move it. "Jackie you OK!?" I heard Sapphire yell "I'm calling back up!"
I tried to get the mech to stand but it was failing and couldn't move "Sapphire behind you!" I yelled at her down the radio. She turned and started to shot it. It ran off and a VTOL came with another mech. "Heard ya needed a hand" It was Josh. It he landed and a pod landed next to his mech. It opened and he took a large sword from it. The wrath went right up to him. "Josh mind yourself" Sapphire started shooting at it. Josh swung the sword and cut off some it tentacles. It was taking a lot of damage and I finally stood up. Me and Sapphire fired at it and Josh chased after it. The wrath came back and grabbed hold of Josh's mech and started to crush it. "Josh!" I yelled trying to get a shot on it.
"It's OK" He raised his sword "I got this" he sent it right through it's arm and ripped it clean off. He changed his left arm into a plasma cannon and fired at it. Me and Sapphire helped by doing the same with the guns we had. The wrath screamed and then went silent. It was dead. Josh turned and look at me seeing my mech was ripped apart nearly. "Jackie you OK?" he asked me.
"Yeah I'm good. Need to get this back though." I said back to him.
"How about you Sapphire? You good to go?" He then turned to sapphire.
"Yeah lets get back before more show up" She said turning. "Oh dam. Too late for that. We got 3 Demos coming our way!"
"Defend Jackie and hold them off! I'll get harry down here!" Josh yelled back down the radio. I hate being useless. They stood in front of me and readied themselves.
