Strange behavior

After waking up, the boys left to eat except Liam who wasn't really hungry  and decided to stay with me. We kept staring each other, not talking. This silence was awkward, thank goodness the doctor arrived. "Mrs.Trees?" "Yes, doctor?" "I have a bit of bad news." Liam sat up straight and gave me a comforting smile. "The bullet has spread some kind of infection in your body." "What? I thought the bullet was removed?" "No, it was too deep and you were bleeding so we were focusing on getting you better, not the bullet. I'm afraid you'll have to stay longer than expected." "Ok doctor. How long will I stay here?" "We're not sure yet. About one to three months. Since we still need to do the operation but we have been so busy lately. We can only do it in one week so that means you have to stay here and be monitored. And after the operation, we need to see how your body is doing and of course, the bullet did cause damage to a few of your organs. So we still need to check that up." "O-ok." I whispered. I was a bit scared. What if I wasn't gonna make it? "Angela, everything will be fine." I held his hand and he rubbed my back. "Thank you Liam." "No problem." "Vas' Happenin'?" Zayn asked. "The bullet has spread an infection. She has to stay here longer than expected." Liam said before I got the chance to say something. "What?" Louis, Harry and Niall were surprised but Zayn's face was emotionless. "I see." Is all he said. "Louis, Harry, Niall, may I speak with you? Alone." They nodded and sat down on the bed. Liam and Zayn left. "Niall, I just wanted to say about the kiss, it never meant anything ok? It was just a friendly one since I thought you were gonna die so don't get any feelings or so because I love you like a brother, ok?" "Yeah." Niall muttered and scratched his head. Maybe I was making him uncomfortable? "Harry, I know you like me and I'm sorry to say, nothing will ever happen between us. Sorry, so pls move on?" His eyes were full of sadness and I felt bad for him but I never did have feelings for him. "I understand." I kissed his cheek. "Good, now Louis. I'm sorry about El and I hope someday you'll find the courage to move on. I heard you were falling for me when you were with El. Look, Louis if it weren't for you, I would have never found true happiness and I'm grateful to you but I don't like you in the way you like me. So there'll be nothing more than friendship." "Ok." I kissed his cheek and they left. Liam smiled at me and sat down on the chair and as for Zayn, he waved and left without saying a word. What's up with him? Did he hear our conversation? If he did, does he think I like Liam because I didn't call him in? "Li.." "We weren't eavesdropping, don't worry. But I'm worried for Zayn, he hasn't been himself lately. Ever since you're here, he's been acting strange." "Oh." "I have to go now, visiting hours are over." I felt my heart break. I'd have no one to talk to now. "Angela, I just wanted to say I'll be visiting you everyday ok? I'm just gone for the night so don't worry, I'll be back tomorrow. Bye and get some rest." He kissed my cheek and closed the door. Liam was being very supportive and sweet but Zayn has been weird. Is he jealous? No that wasn't worrying him.... It was something else. Now that I think about it, the whole time I was in the hospital, he's never talked to me. Something is definitely wrong.
