Rage
One sunny Friday afternoon in August. August 20th to be exact, I had gotten a call from a friend about a girl I had been enemies for years. My friend told me that my enemy wanted to fight me. So what do I do? Yep, that's right I marched over to her house. Knocked on the door and beat her up. Okay it didn't quite go like that, it went a little more like this. I walked to down my road, up West street, through the school yard, down a trail to her house. I invited everyone I knew that wanted to see me fight her. I knocked on the door. Her fat, ugly mom answered the door. I asked for Mackenzie, her mom shut the door and yelled for her. Right when Mackenzie opened the door, I grabbed her by her hair and yanked her out of the house. I pulled her to the ground, got on top of her, and started punching her in the face. She was reaching for my hair and face. She grabbed my hair and pulled as hard as she could but I didn't care. I grabbed her hair right above her years and began to smack her head on the ground. Someone, but I couldn't tell you who pulled me off of her. I wasn't done though and neither was she. As soon as whoever let me go I was after her again. She smacked me a cross the face and I just smiled maliciously. She reached up to smack me again I grabbed her hand and threw it down to her side. I wasn't going to let my smile go, that grin was going to stay till she showed me fear. At that point all I was seeing was red. Her mom was on the side screaming hit her. But it was like all the sound disappeared and all that matter at that point was her and I. She punched me as hard as she could in the side of the head. I felt blood running down into my ear. She had knocked me with a ring on her hand. I was now pissed. I wrapped my arm around her neck, squeezed and pulled up. Her feet were dangling two inches off the ground, flailing, suddenly her body went limp. I heard sirens, I dropped her body to the ground and ran. Where I was going I didn't know but Braxton was by my side with me. I ran to the only spot I could think of. My favorite place, under a willow tree in the forest behind the middle school. I got there and immediately put my head in between my legs and cried. That was first time I cried in front of Braxton. I wasn't the type to show emotions. I knew the cops were going to show up at my house and I knew I was in a lot of trouble more trouble I had ever been in. I had to go home I had no choice. I walked home. When I got to my street fear welled up inside me and I shivered at the look of my house. I walked up the steps to my house, I slowly opened up the door, the door to my new hell. My dad was waiting in the kitchen for me. I knew what was coming. My dad hit me a cross the head, punched me in the stomach, and began to kick me when I fell to the floor. He left out of the kitchen in anger. I slowly got to my room, and what I found wasn't a surprise. All my stuff had been taken out. All that was on the floor was a sheet and pillow. I laid in my new bed on the floor crying, the tears stung my face. I was lost on what to do. I fell a sleep in pain that night. The next day my dad woke me up early to tell me I wasn't welcome there and that I was being sent to a new home. The girl I beat did not want to press charges as long as I stayed away from her. That was easy because I was leaving. Around 11 a.m. the a man came to get me to bring me to this place. Now I am here. The girls looked at me curiously. Alicia was the first too ask.
"So what did you do? Kill anyone?" She asked anyone.
"Nearly" I said.
All their eyes got wide. I told them about the girl I beat up and why I did it.
"Is that way you're face is swollen?" asked the other twin Amber.
"Some of them are from her I'm guessing, but I'm thinking mostly this is my dads fault" I said looking up the ceiling. I could feel warm tears welling up into my eyes.
The girls all started hugging me. Don't cry they were all saying. I couldn't help it though. I began to sob as I was clutching one girl around the middle. I missed when my mom hugged me tightly. That was something else I couldn't help but holding her tightly.
We all turned to the window as a car was driving down the driveway. We all hurried to the window while I wiped my tears. I guess they liked looking out the window to see who was there. The car stopped at the office. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Have my eyes deceived me? My eye's widened, it was Braxton with his dark brown, chin length hair, and with a cap. The girl's were to busy saying I wonder if he's cute close up. But I was stuck on looking at him. For some reason I felt the need to keep it as a secret that he was my best friend. I shrugged and left the window.
"You can roommate with me" said Trinity
I smiled, shook my head yes, and followed her to the room with all my stuff. When the door opened I was shocked to see the walls were painted yellow, with brown flowers as a border right below the ceiling. I didn't like the color yellow but this was a muted yellow. I could live with it. I had a feeling she could tell what I was thinking because she said:
"I didn't get to pick this, trust me."
"Oh it's fine" I replied.
When walking in the door you see two bed, a closet a long the wall by the door, a shelf to the right of the door, two dressers to the left, a window a long the back wall and a nice sized mirror right next to the door. I was in awe at how big the room was. It was nice, i liked it. At least it was nicer than my room at home.
"So, what do you guys do here?" I asked.
"Well on weekdays we go to school which is right next door(she rolled her eyes), on the weekends we have chores not really big ones, and after that whatever we want pretty much. Though we have high security here, we get around it though" she explained.
I looked at her with my head cocked wondering what she meant by the security.
"How do you guys get a round the security" I asked suspiciously.
"We'll Maggie is the smart one, see we have alarm systems in the houses they alert Mrs. Peggy when the door has opened at night, She also has cameras but they aren't on. They're there to scare us. Anyways we sneak out her window, which is in the back of the house, and do whatever. We just have to watch out for guards. We mainly go and hang out with the boys, all that good stuff." She said grinning.
On the inside I knew there was high chance we could get caught but I was all for it. Sounded thrilling and exciting.
"So what happens if you get caught" I asked
"You get sent to the isolation room, beat by a female guard or you lose privileges for a long time." She explained.
I felt my heart drop into my stomach. That sounds really scary I thought. Though for some reason the thrill made it sound fun. Braxton creeped back into my mind, and I felt excitement explode in me. I could not wait to see him.
For dinner that night we had chicken, mashed potatoes, and carrots. It felt so good to eat, it felt like ages since I had last ate. I had seconds it was so good. After dinner we laid down since our bed time was ten o'clock. The shut everything down then, except for the bathroom. We began to watch a movie called sassy pants. I felt tired but I couldn't sleep I was overwhelming with fear, sadness and excitement all at once.
The electricity shut off before the movie was over. We groaned, We had been enjoying the movie and laughing our butts off.
"The best time is to sneak out is now" said Maggie, "the guards won't come out for a few minutes." she added.
