The wolf ran away and Jamie was surprised that it didn't run over and savage him straight away.Then a whole wave of new questions came to him. Was the wolf tame? Did it have family? He ran towards the wolf which was brave and of course stupid, seen as the wolf could take him down any day with it's pointed shimmering teeth.
A lot of dirt flew up on to his robe but he didn't notice. He had caught up with the wolf who was panting and walking by now. As she crept down a dark black crevis in the earth.
